Hi Jrim
Iv'e run into a little problem.... I have it set up for NHSEO where it's set to fetch 90 proxies and sort them for Google Etc, then write to file on 3 mins if less that 50 working...

This setup seems to work ok, feeding NHSEO constant working proxies (as they can burn out quickly)

After about 12-24 hrs PM has stopped stating "Run out of proxies to search with" If I re-start PM then all is well for a while.

What does this mean? Have I set it up wrongly?

Hi Rizla,

The way Proxy Multiply works is it performs Google/Bing/meta crawler search engine searches for proxies, using your existing proxy list as a search basis. If it has run out of proxies to search with, then it has used all of your proxies to search. To prevent this from occurring, try improving your proxy list sources or reducing your proxy testing parameters. To scrape more fruitful proxies and a larger list of initial proxies, you may want to consider purchasing the Proxy Booster add-on (click the green gear on the main menu). By the way, did you know that you can use transparent proxies for Google searches as well? They are just as good as elite/anonymous proxies.

The only thing possible at that point is to scrape from the predefined URL list again, grabbing possibly fresh new proxies from the list of URLs. This is accomplished by clearing the proxy list to be empty (or just restarting PM as you noted). The next version of Proxy Multiply will include an inherent feature to scrape from the URL list again once it finishes searching but for now you will need to revert to those options.

Hi pagemoney, as long as you utilize the location features of the software (use the Configure -> Country/City menu -> Check region/city of proxies) and utilize proxies that are within/near your target CL area, I'm sure you will be able to use the software to fit your needs.

However I do not have personal experience with Clad Genius so please let me know your results. Thank you!

You can download a free trial of the software and evaluate it if you would like! Please use the 'Proxy Type' button on the main window and select 'Twitter enabled' in the list that pops up.

Can you implement a feature to minimize PM when invoked from the command line?

will do. Reason is automation programs will execute PM from the command line but since you are not recognizing the ncmdShow parameter, we need a command line parameter to call it

Bought the software after the trial, had some issues after that but support was there to help. Been running this after that and using it for my 3 SEO tools that requires proxies. This is really great and fast proxy too!

I dont use any proxy and i dont think it s proxy related problem.

Hi ertem, if you followed the steps and disabled any proxy configured for use then the issue is most likely related to security software on your PC preventing Proxy Multiply from performing necessary upgrade steps.

Do you use any anti-virus or other network security software? Please try disabling the protection or white-listing Proxy Multiply (and the Updater file, which is separate) and see if your results improve. If you have a firewall installed, follow the same steps. However, many security software programs (e.g. Norton) include firewalls as part of the basic security and can explain many network-related issues.

If the database can be maintained on the basis of settings or every site can be given weight based on the kind of proxies found (for eg. if a proxy site is giving transparent but google enabled proxies then it should be used first if scraping these kind of proxies). This will further increase getting the relevant proxies fast and would not delete relevant sites if not used for some time.

Hi ranga, thanks for the suggestion. We appreciate all feedback but that seems like a complex solution to a simple problem and I'm not sure many people will know how to utilize the feature. Can you try increasing the purge interval/delay instead (click the green Add-Ons gear, select the Add-On, select 'Add-On settings' at bottom of window) and let me know how it works for you? You should be able to get similar results by doing that.

I need to send it to myself and a co-worker. I realize I can forward it or create a group through my email server, but didn't know if I could just enter something correctly into proxy multiply. I hate to say it but unfortunately neither of those options are available in PM. We do not allow the software to send emails to multiple emails for anti-spam reasons. Emails are sent through our SMTP server and thus we do not want to risk being blacklisted for spam. The ability to load previous session's proxies is not implemented due to lack of demand for it; however we may consider adding the feature in the future!
