GSA Search Engine Ranker - Extremely Powerful Linkbuilding Software (Free 5 Day Trial)

100% cpu usage.. Win2008 vps server, 4.18 ver, 20 threads only.. 1 project running, 25 proxies, not scraping, only posting from list.. i did not check how the previous versions but i see now almost constantly 100% usage :(

I must say the threading looks good.. but 1 project and 100% ?

I'm only seeing slightly higher cpu usage but a much, much higher submission rate. I haven't seen gsa fly like this for a while for me. I'm almost tempted never to update again :p

I had an endless loop earlier after the latest update.
It kept importing the same site list and checking pr on another site to submit to.
The only way to stop it was to stop the projects it got stuck in loop on
The box showing whats going on was flying faster than you could read it
Im now waiting for google to stop my pr checking slap
If the option to turn back updates was installed, I would have gone back from this weeks

I'm monitoring my CPU usage as well and it's going from 15%-34% and the highest it will hit is 80% but its mainly hovering around 30%.

This is on a poweruphosting VPS. Interl Xeon E31280 @ 3.50 GHZ

Ok, it seems on my box it uses the 100% when its fed a list.. when i scrape and post its in much lower limits

Please check if you also get high cpu usage when it posts from imported file list..

Just curious: I've watched the tutorial videos and do see how to use the video portion, but I'm not sure what it is doing, why you need youtube ids...could you explain? I know with Magic Submitter you're actually uploading your own video and then backlinking it (then backlinking backlinks), but I'm not too sure here.

Guys:

I was having a low success rate creating web 2.0 with GSA so I decided to run it in debug mode and I found out that I was getting a lot of "captcha not supported by service"

I was using ShaniBPO after CS but the moment I switched to deathbycapcha, voila! It worked.

Just so you know.

For clipbucket, it will use the youtube I.D.'s to embed the videos. You link is usually in the description of the video on the website. So if you want to promote your own videos you would need to upload them to youtube then use the Youtube I.D.

s4nt0s, thank you, but I'm wondering why he takes three random ids and spins them...just to use as an example or does he have a purpose?

Web 2's I have killed Name.ly
Then deleted my target url cache and history and tried the web 2's again
Not one failed captcha in my dbc account

That is to demonstrate you can spin the I.D.'s to use multiple videos. It's an example. :)

is there any difference between "GSA search engine ranker" and "GSA Auto website submitter"?

Massive differences. It would take writing a book to describe the differences so the best thing to do would be to check out the trials to see for yourself. :)

Just bought product two days ago- and it's a really robust and feature-packed backlinking product. Love the fire and forget (and without having to worry if it crashed or not). An incredible steal. And I will add, Devin's incredible patience and dedication to the product makes this the best buy ever. Not to mention the already several updates are already out in literally hours after I downloaded this.

I had just a few questions-

1. I'm just trying to assess how many proxies I should be buying - I think the rule of thumb is one thread per proxy, so if you are running 30 threads (set in the options menu), we should be using 30 different proxies on the minimum so as not to leave any footprints? Or better yet, what would be the optimal rule of thumb here?

2. Captchas - under a scenario of this- using CaptchaSniper as primary and ShaniBPO as secondary, what would be an optimal retries #, before going to secondary? Are there any timed-out or limits on retries before web 2.0's or other high sites outright reject you?

3. Given the multi-threading limitations of CaptchaSniper, should there be a limit on GSA threads? Or does GSA automatically wait till one Captcha is finished before it moves onto the other?

Thanks!

For some reason the "stop the project after XX amount of submissions per day" is not working sometimes.

Any ideas on this?

So deathbycaptcha is better then ShaniBPO... i will use deathbycaptcha after i spend all the shaniBPO balance. Thanks for the info...

Appreciate the kind words.

1) Well the rule of thumb for most software was proxy per thread but that was mainly to prevent from getting temp banned from search engines for too many queries too quickly. GSA SER allows you to select many different search engines so its never hitting one search engine too hard for too long. A lot of people can easily run 50 threads without issues using only 20 proxies. Maybe some others can give feedback on this but really 20 should be fine for most normal users.

2) I'm not very experienced with Captcha Sniper so hopefully someone else can chime in on this one. I'd say maybe 1 retry as CS as your primary but that's just a guess.

3) Again, I'm not too sure but I believe people aren't having any issues with running a decent number of threads with CS. I know Sven (GSA developer) and CS developer have talked and GSA has been optimized to work with CS and vice versa.

For some reason the "stop the project after XX amount of submissions per day" is not working sometimes.

Are you sure its not working? The software will still run the verification process even while the project is paused so if that's what you're seeing, then its normal.

I download GSA, installed on my 1st, 2nd and 3rd computers so, it's like I should have 21 days to try the software but I don't know what I was doing. 21 days gone for nothing.

Then 3 days ago, I decided to buy GSA and get VPS as per their recommendation.
I must say that I am very happy with the result. Set it to run 2 projects for 1 day, got 100 and more verified links for each project. Going to add many more projects today.
Thank you Devin, Sven and developer team for great work.

are u saying dbc are now solving them or that they are not crediting u for the failures?

i killed name.ly too, wasnt getting many failed in dbc account, but not one verified since they switched captcha type at end of last month, so obviously paying dbc for nothing...

i think u can go higher than that with even less proxies, for example, buyproxies recommends a max of 100 threads with their proxies
2) I'm not very experienced with Captcha Sniper so hopefully someone else can chime in on this one. I'd say maybe 1 retry as CS as your primary but that's just a guess.
i usually have it set to 1 retry, meaning 2 attempts through CS before going to dbc, so total of 3 attempts, this is due to my experience with some sites limiting attempts to 3 tries, however the CS dev recommended going as high as 5 or 6 retries (which will increase the success rate on some sites), i am testing 2 retries + failover to dbc at present, i think forum links are the most restricting at 3 retries, some other engines are fine with higher numbers
3) Again, I'm not too sure but I believe people aren't having any issues with running a decent number of threads with CS. I know Sven (GSA developer) and CS developer have talked and GSA has been optimized to work with CS and vice versa.
i used to have probs with CS crashing when SER is above ~80 threads, however that was 2 updates of CS ago and now tesseract doesnt crash as much, u can go higher with no problem, but i think i remember sven recommending keeping SER to ~100 threads for optimal results (that was before the latest thread optimizing which makes everything even more turbo charged, so maybe even less is needed now - i have dropped mine with 4.18 and am getting MANY more links)
