What does "opted in" exactly mean guys?.. I mean when you say so and so got sued because the people they emailed did not opt in?.. does that mean they did not want the emails or like what?... sorry to sound so stupid but Im a complete newbie to mass mailing.

You can find many brokers on LinedIn, that's where i am looking for them . Before i buy any leads i ask for a small test to check the convert rate. And ratio is usually good, but it varies from day to day, it is not something static.
But i am also thinking out of box, in last few months i am working only on payday loan leads. BUT i am not promoting any payday loan offers at all. Because those are people with bad credit, small salary and in most cases depressed, so i'm offering them : credit monitoring, credit reports, credit repair, depression relief products and money making guides, and it is going WAY better thank any payday loan offer. It is true that one payday loan convert gives you up to 150$, but is hard as hell to get just one convert. I way more like to have 1000 of 10$ orders instead of 5 of 150$ .

Just so everyone knows - Scraping is indeed illegal (You should be using proxies regardless) and mailing users who never opted in for your offers is also illegal.

Actually, this depends on where you live. U.S. law (ie the CAN-SPAM Act) does NOT prohibit sending to leads that have not opted in, but they aren't allowed to be scraped or dictionary sending.

Do everything at your own risk especially if you are doing BIG volume. Few thousand emails here and there is staying under the radar but when you scale up is when you are taking chances.

Truth. One of the big reasons that, if you're going to scale up, diversify your links and accounts so that there is never too much traffic driven to a single one.

For what it's worth, I'm not endorsing this method at all. What the OP is describing is precisely the kind of stuff that got Spamhaus to strong arm BHW into removing the email section in the first place. I'd suggest keeping your email marketing grayhat at worst.

Actually, that has nothing to do with it. Spamhaus pretty much forced BHW to take down their Email Marketing forum because of the black hat stuff being posted. Technically, mailing Craigslist isn't illegal if the person initiates dialogue. It might be against Craigslist's TOS, but being against a company's TOS and being against the law are two different things.

Last year, I made over $128,000 doing email marketing the right way. Don't know how much the OP made, but I can say that you'd have to mail enough to get on a watchlist to make that much using the OP's method.

They are not the best, they are up to 6 months old, but they do well, i get that money back in three days so i see no problem there. Honeypots and spam traps are VERY frequently put out there in the form the OP was saying to use to find lists. I don't recommend it.

I have posted this method to help people earn some start up investment money to start the legal business, i am not saying you are going to use this to earn a million dollars omfg.
Besides, i think that more than 90% of BHT members are not living in US, so who gives a fuck. If you are going to spam till you reach million dollars, move to Bulgaria, they legalized spamming so you can send emails from your ISP email.
In other countries which are not Europe Union, there is no problem sending emails. For example here in Bosnia, i am receiving tons of promo emails on my isp email everyday, auto dealers, vacation offers, tourist agency emails, some service offers like house cleaning lol and so on. And they are even sending that from ISP emails, so yes it is allowed here. I had one funny situation few days ago, some auto dealer sent me a email regarding some new cars they got in stock, some expensive ones, and they called me few days after to check if i have received email and if i am interested, hahaha that's so funny way to check the inbox rate .

USA law is shit, just like USA gov, they, literally, scare a shit of each USA citizen, as long as you are bringing them huge cash you are safe, what do you think why does mafia lives great in USA? They are paying the gov to stay undetected, USA is a homeland of criminal and corruption, but since they have no use of small "criminals" like spammers and hackers, they usually take them to a court to take some cash out of them.

I have a family in US, who lives more than 20 years there so far. And i know a lot about the US, the law and the way of life in US.

Yes, Canada and UK have bad laws about email marketing also, but i was not talking about email laws in US only, i was talking about global "cyber" laws in US. They prohibited a lot of nonsens stuff, they prohibited some actions which are nothing compares to some other things which are legal, but not done over the internet.
Besides, when we are talking about mafia, biggest players in criminal world are siting in the gov planing their next big game, it's not just in US, it's everywhere. Just take a look at Croatia and Sanader, he was a prime minister of Croatia for years and he was stealing and taking payoff from who ever he can. They are now suing him for few millions of euros which he stole during his mandate.

And yeah one more thing, if "email spamming" is a crime act, then putting fucking flyers each day in my "REAL" mailbox should be 10 x worse. I need to take that shit and throw it in a can each day.
