Link pushing vs Direct backlinks

Should I go for linkpushes or direct backlinks? Is linkpush more "safe"?

You do realize you are basing your concept of "link pushing" on someone's brand right? If I was google I'd find out what that guy is doing and nullify it. The perception of it working will still remain so he will continue making money, off of you...

Not sure what you mean...linkpush/matrix/wheel all pretty much has the same idea, which is point your backlinks to 2.0 properties which link to the money site, as opposed to direct backlinks to money site...

Direct backlinks works for me. once it is natural.

I think a nice mix of both would do fine.

You need/should/must do both, only direct linking sucks. but if you cant at all its better to do only direct linking rather than a shitty push.
