Yes it'll profitable as long as your videos can survive from the ban hammer of your competitors.

I would say give it a try , upload a couple of 10 videos, doesn't matter what and link it back to your MNS.
Then I would suggest to build links with the same anchor to both your YT video and inner pages of your MNS.
Should do the job I think.

Yes, it's a very helpful source of traffic. Using more than one video to promote a site is better, as is seeing if you can just do a 'rent' or JV deal with YT members with popular, already viral related videos, where you put your link in their description section. That way you stand less of a risk the ban hammer, as the videos have already passed muster.

YT is great way of traffic. My opinion it's even grater than SEO, because it's faster and easier to get in the top positions if you know what you do. I use it, and I can't complain.
