twitter follower question

i want to make a contest in twitter and i want to give a prize to the people who get me more followers in a specific time i.e: Whoever can get me more followers till september 10 will win. Is there any app or tool i can use to measure this so i can know who won?

Theres no way of finding out who "got" you them, short of actually getting each person to either DM you or mention you on twitter saying who referred you. Bear in mind theres no referral link for twitter, so they would just go to your page and click follow - theres no "app" way to track this.

That is correct there is no way to track this since its as simple as just clicking the follow button...however I thought of this before when I was working with a real estate client of mine as a freelancer what I told them to do was just to pick a random twitter follower and gift them something but also tweet back out about the giveaway or contest it could work in a similar fashion if you want to get natural twitter followers. If that doesn't work for you there always BHW members offering services to get you Twitter followers either way good luck!

Thanks for your answers, i was thinking that it was impossible also, but i asked here anyways just in case there is something i didn't know, i was thinking on doing the random giveaway when we reach a certain number of followers I.E: when we reach 3,000 1 prize 5,000 another prize something like that... I don't want to buy followers because i want very targeted followers (niche+country).

twitter has improved , just buy fake followers to get your numbers up then you will gain TOP TWEET status , so when you tweet with some keywords of your niche everyone will see your tweets not just your followers, targeted followers are pointless nowdays

For a client I setup the basic contest of entering for prizes. It played out pretty well. What you are describing seems almost impossible to track.
