I've only used oDesk once...had pretty good results (but was just a logo).

I'm wondering, I have a project that requires a web design and a front-end coder...should I post two different job descriptions as separate jobs -- or post one job description with full requirements (design and coding). I don't mind hiring two people for the job...if that means I'll get a better end result.

How I should go about doing this? The design needs to be done before coding can happen...

I doubt I will find someone who can do both good design and write good code.

What's the best way to set this up in oDesk.

If I just post one job description, I'm wondering if I'll get applicants who already work on a team that will have both designer and coder...

Anyone experienced with oDesk projects, I'd appreciate your guidance.

Thanks.

Thanks. I'm looking for experienced product managers that use oDesk to comment on how best to setup a project.

You should try posting two ads and screen both candidates to see if they can do the design and coding at once. That way you can choose the one that seems more knowledgeable on both subjects or pick both if they can't accomplish both tasks.

So you're saying to post one job for coding and one job for design?

Yes , and if you find that one of the candidates can do both design and coding then that might work out better for you.
