Guaranteed $10K a month online/offline hybrid method.

Bookmarked the thread a few weeks ago. I went for the domain dentistintameside. Tameside is a part of Greater Manchester with a population of over 200k, I initially wanted Manchester but it was taken. I'm going to create a pretty basic landing page. Then work on some back links.

If anyone has any advice they wanna chuck this way for it to make bank, I'm more than happy to read.

It worked for me in 2010, but now its not that easy to rank fast even for those low search keywords :( .Back in 2010 a scrapebox/xrumer blast will get you to page 1, now its a different ball game.

That's what I was worried about when reading this post. Anybody have tips on how to get around this?

I can see this working for the construction niche so beautifully. And why stop there?

There's pool builders, home improvement, concrete polishing, roofing, floor installation, landscaping, interior decorators, etc.

Go get em! :)

Why is everyone having such a hard time with the RANKING? That's the easy part lol. All my sites I tried this method with were ranked page 1. And it was quickly (note my other posts in this thread). My problem is finding the businesses and getting them to bite. If anyone is good with lead management and getting the sales - PM me. I'd be willing to try and do at least a handful of sites and see what profit it brings in. I'd go 50/50 :)

would it be wiser to charge the dentist $20 per lead rather than 400 a month. that way if you get 10 leads daily that is $200 a day.

I guess it is just what ever you prefer. Just find a way that makes the customer and you happy..

I have the same concern that a few folks have echoed about whether this still works with all the Google Penguin / Panda updates. Specifically the part of the original post at the start of this thread that all it takes to rank on page 1 is outsourcing to a blog commenter to do a couple hundred blog comments.

I don't think that stuff flies anymore...

(Getting the decision maker to chat on the phone seems like a challenge as well. I've tried marketing lead gen services to several local businesses without success because of this. Not saying others wouldn't be better at it though - this is old school cold calling which isn't my forte.)

i wonder if the new updates have killed this method considering the major ranking factor was EMD? Not sure what the big g has in plan for the future but clearly its one without affiliates and marketers.

I do something very similar to this and have a large list of clients. I professionally manage craigslist ads and provide a monthly service. We are quite a large firm now, located in California. We have hundreds of clients per month posting and managing ads on craigslist for small and large local businesses. We do nationwide advertising as well and target those large companies that make tons of sales. We manage around 20,000 + Ads per day now :) Lead Generation on Craigslist is insane when you have a campaign of around 500 daily nationwide ads. All of the traffic is unique and highly targeted with high conversion rates.

Wow thats awesome, I have done similar with a glass shop in Indy and got them on the top of google, to bad I didn`t charge enough!

Really great thread. I think it's crucial to combined IM with real life foot-meets-pavement marketing to get the greatest results. Lots of $$ to still be made.

Just a couple of observations: 10-15 visitors a day does not equate to 10-15 leads per day. There are 3 companies on the site so divide by three. Then, out of those five visitors per company, you will be lucky if 1 picks up the phone to call or fills out the form. A well optimized form converts at around 35% so maybe 1.5 leads per day.

1.5 x 30 days is 45 calls / emails per month. Out of those, about 60% will convert at some level. If your research says $100 per customer in sales, then you are looking at around $2200 per month in revenue per dentist. Your charge of $400 / month for the listing is almost 20% of revenue. I think your $100 per customer is actually really extremely low, which means that the monthly revenue should be much higher.

You could probably spend around $150 a month on ppc on top to help drive the number of leads up.

Good method though! Just got me pumped back up about some of my lead sites!
