Absolutely agree, was going to post that for others also, Open all the instances
you would normally use for your whole operation.

I had to close Scrapebox because proxies manger wasn't working any more.

It seems it doesn't want to start anymore.

Might be worth them coming up with a grace period to allow people who have previously managed to validate a licence on the machine 24 hours or something similar to use the program without access to the licensing servers to avoid everyone being down for prolonged periods of time.

I know it's not the companies fault if they are getting ddos attacked but it's nto our fault either and we are getting penalised for it.

Maybe an update with a grace period built in in the near future?

Perhaps they could put up a backup server using only an IP and email it to registered owners only. Over the weekend I was more laid back about it. Now I'm entering the mode of looking for alternatives. 5 days of not getting results is not ok with me.

People that depend on this for a living are not going to sit around and wait for the attack to stop. I think Scrapebox could have taken some action already.

GGGRRRRR I got all four instances open for awhile but then slowly they crashed one by one. If you get it open I would avoid slow poster that is what killed two of mine, the other two crapped out during normal scraping.

This went down one what? Friday? I don't remember but how much time is reasonable before a company should give some official statement? So how long do you suggest waiting?

This is why I refuse to use software with that call home bs when it's something that affects my income.

Hopefully they get the server back up and running for you guys though as I know it sucks to have your income fucked up by something you can't control, been there done that a million times.

Thats very odd, because all the best link building automation tools and much other SEO software all makes calls home. If you don't use any of it, your missing the boat on "Black Hat World" to begin with. Better to use the tools that dramatically increase the income and are up 99% of the time then to avoid it all together and lose tons of extra income, IMHO.

It doesn't work that way, as part of the security the servers are hard coded into scrapebox. The security is highly complex to keep it from being cracked and you can't just make changes like that.

They have taken a lot of action, but DDoS is something thats difficult at best to deal with. There are varying levels of DDoS attacks and complexity, and this one is pretty heavy.

About what? Im confused.

Are you saying make a thread about threads saying the program is down or make a thread about the fact that a competitor is attacking scrapebox? I mean I could easily DDoS your servers, but that doesn't mean you can do anything about it or that you and/or any services/sites you may offer/own should be shitlisted.

They posted several days ago in the main sales thread and off and on scrapebox has had a popup in it saying such.

yes, it was working for 1 day and it went back offline. Blimey that's not what you would expect from a tool like Scrapebox. Just hoping things will get better and we can go back to "normality"

Best advice is if you can get an instance open, don't shut it.

Surprised people shut it after the one day it came up. If your installation is prone to crash for whatever reason, make a few more folders and run a few instances in the background, just in case the ones you're using crash for some reason.
