@xTiger... not true at all. Anyone who has spent any time chatting with people of the armed forces will find that you do not have a line full of brainless zombies, but an intelligent and versitile force. Gone are the days when the Army or Marines want a conga line of robots - they know what they have - a force that responds to a given situation and adapts and overcomes.

I respect the hell out of the troops, i hate the dirt at the top, though. I hope your son arrives home safe, ive lost close ones to war who weren't as lucky.

I agree with this painting. Even better if they wash the brain and return it to the head. Either we don't speak about political topics At All or except that people have different views. OP all the best to you, your Son, your family and families overseas.

I am just saying that army is wrong, you sacrifice you're own life so the goverment will earn more money.
While you kill innocent people and risking yourself few more fat man getting richer.
That's the way it is, and i have much respect for the Marines, SAS, etc. that is just my point of view.

I always wanted to be in the Air Force because I was a huge fan of the Stargate television show. But I can't.
Thats the sad part of it.... I wont get into details but sometimes we need to kick some a... but the other side of the coin is what you bring up.

There's something wrong when you start telling other people what they should or shouldn't say. Its a discussion forum, people will naturally want to share their opinions. A topic such as this one, in this day and age will garner polarizing opinions. There's no way around it.
God bless people like your son. If it wasn't for people like him we'd all be speaking German or some other language.
I may not agree with some of the stupid things politicians do with our military but I am always in awe of the people who do serve this country. I wish we had more people like your son and less self serving politicians.
I for one would feel exactly as you do if my son decided to go into the military...proud and scared.
