[Copyright] Using photos on your blog

Have you been on Tumblr lately? That place is filled with potential lawsuits. Anywho, use this if you wanted images use Creative Commons search engine man. (google it, can't post links here)

difference is it's a user generated site. as long as tumblr takes down images when they get a copyright claim they're fine. same applies to youtube, etc etc

I got botted by Getty Images, for a website template I bought; whoever designed it clipped a Getty photo, and pasted it into the header. I got a bill for $1225. I wouldn't use any photo you haven't purchased, or is public domain. You can get some public domain on Wikimedia and you can buy photos for $3. I like Big Stock photos. Be aware, those copyright bots are really sophisticated!

I immediately was thinking the same question.

Surely, if you immediately removed the image, then they'd have to take you to court, but I have heard that Getty are complete {insert a few hashtags here}
