Which Project Management tool do you use?

I was looking at Feng Office (open-source), ActiveCollab and Basecamp.

Which one is the best out of those 3, from your experience?
And how are these 'project management tools' really different from CRM tools?
I see most of them already have CRM stuff integrated?

Thanks

Thanks. Asana looks pretty cool and easy to use!
Its free up to 30 members, i think thats more than enough for tiny/small businesses.

Btw, how are CRM and PM tools different?
Are they pretty much the same these days? For example, how can I take advantage of Asana to communicate with my clients?

Basecamp here. It's basic, but it works.

I am aware that basecamp is the most popular out of all
but i feel that Asana is definitely better and more user-friendly than basecamp. And msot of all, its free (less than 30 members)

Some awesome suggestions in this list --

I have probably used more than 50 project management and tasker tools.

I always choose simple, low cost solutions whether I'm doing freelance, working with virtual teams or even large corporations.

Excel and Google spreadsheets are great for just about anything.
You can set status codes and put conditional formatting on them to have them change color.
With that said, I only use those for simple things like prioritizing tasks.

I always prefer software as a service so that I don't have to worry about installing it on anyone's computer.

Here are my current favorites:
Freedcamp (like basecamp but free)
Planbox (so simple and easy)

If you're looking for something more extensive:
Rally Dev
WorkETC
Zoho (this is a little clumsy but very powerful and semi-free)

I am surprised not a lot of people here uses activecollab.
I first thought it was the best. Guess not.

Mainly Asana and also trying out Trello. I like them both for different reasons

Gnatt project works like a charm too. Been using it for a few years and its one of the best.

activeCollab all the way! Used to use Basecamp but it was just too damned expensive. That said, if anyone knows where I can get activeCollab 3, I would be eternally grateful! :)

I've never heard of GoApp. Is it web based or a desktop app? I'm on a Mac so I prefer web apps so that all of my clients can access no matter what they're using.

I liked Asana for a little while. It seemed to not be as intuitive as ActiveCollab or ProjectPier. (BTW... if you haven't heard of Project Pier, it's open source and free!)

I briefly used active collab and its a really powerful tool for managing both clients and workers. they have a free trial so it wouldnt hurt to atleast check it out

Using Asana to coordinate with Indian contractors in dev. my iPhone app.
