Hello to all BHW users, i think to make this topic to collect names of hosting companies which you shouldn't buy, (mean Bad Hostings). Please share your experience to make life easy.

1. solucionhost.cl (Problem from first day, no support, site is down every day, no respond..)

I think its easier to check whats recommended, for example Hostgator and Namecheap are very good. Why would you even buy from a noname company?

Sometime people cannot use PayPal or didn't have a Credit Card (me in Chile like example), so you have to find some companies who can give you other way of payment...

http://www.rapidleechhost.com/ are crap

If you want a really shit VPS box then go to http://www.burst.net

I had bad experience with Dreamhost. They took down their livechat and after that the support sucks. I'm now with Namecheap, great support and no problems at all

Webhostingpad.com is an absolute mess. They will ban you for spiking on resources they can't explain or prove then not respond for a week. The support person I finally got by chat after continual phone calls was a total arrogant ass. I paid for years and let them keep the money because I will look for threads like this forever and make sure they are always mentioned.

The arrogant ass said he didn't care if I was going to do this at the time so here it is. I am getting super upset ever remembering that ass.

Fortunately I have never had a problem with any company I have Hosting with.
Even some of the Free Hosting offers here at BHW have been great. HostGator
is nice but their are cheaper alternatives.

anything about hostthename?
y do ppl never talk abt domain.com

People are loving hostthename :)

You should checkout the official BST thread for all the awesome reviews. Checkout the link in my signature.

Everyone should check the good webhosts...only few of them are good, the rest is average or crap.

Webhostingpad sucks.

ns1 not even working for 6 months.

I can't tell which ones are bad as I've never had bad experience as I do proper research before signing up. This thread is kind of useless, if one guy had a problem doesn't automatically mean every single other client will have the same problem. We can't use this thread as a base for web hosting decisions.

Now those no-name companies who are just fly over night might be a problem, if you deem them to be fraudulent then they should be listed but talking about companies like Hostgator or Bluehost is not an idea. Not saying anyone did but just telling you.

You better get banned by hosting provider rather than getting overage fee.

MEDIATEMPLE did this, they charge me up to $500 for a month's overage fee. Then I complained and move on.

Using hostgator and fatcow both are good enough and affordable.

What was your issue with burst.net? I've been with them over a year and there has not been anything serious. Occasionally VPS may be unresponsive (happened only 3 times in 6+ month period). I just sent an email to support and it's fixed in 1-4 hours.

I don't know any better provider at their price. The network is also good. I've 3x their VPS's and if memory serves me right, only 1 node has been experiencing issues.

Fatcow is meh. They suspended my hosting without any notice like 5 times now with no email or phone call because of a potential exploit on one of my sub domains. I always find my websites down when I check it and I have to lose my temper with a poor customer support agent on the phone who had nothing to do with it. Their hosting is super slow - I've had pages take over a minute to load at many times. Their affiliate program SUCKS. They've owed me $500 for 5 months now. They even shaved $100 of commission from my last referral. There is 1 person in charge of their affiliate department and she takes almost a week to respond to tickets and is not contactable by phone.

I just bought a reseller Hostgator account and am loving it. HostGator is in my good books for the last month they have phenomenal support.

TL;DR -> FatCow is alright but don't use their affiliate system it's brutal. Their hosting isn't anything to brag about either - it's very cheap but you get what you pay for.

JustHost is crap too, google it to see how many of their customers are complaining.
