Hosting Re-seller program

Who uses what? Who is the best host to re-sell... Personally I use GoDaddy but i'm open to others.

I'm sure you will see a lot of people mention hostgator, they are one of the best and I have been with them for a few years.

I have a few hosting accounts and have used many over the years and personally I think godaddy sucks unless you just have a basic site with no DB's. Cpanel is much better to work with and tons more options.

I have talked to support people that work at godaddy and they get extra bonuses for selling you crap you don't need but a lot of them don't know much about the product they are supposed to be supporting. They just have to be able to sell noobs crap they don't need to get the job.

They are great for domains but not hosting.

I checked out hostgator and they dropped their payoffs in half.

For Registering domains i use Godaddy,
For hosting i prefer Hostgator

yes i like host gator to i register my domiain with either namecheap or godaddy and hosting with hostgator

Yup I agree, godaddy for domains and hostgator for hosting. I also have a dedi for hosting of my more demanding sites / services.

site5.com has a reseller program though if you buy their turbo package you don't really need the reseller one if your hosting a bunch of small-medium sites.

I use godaddy for domains and Amazon EC2/S3 for primary hosting, then have a few dedicated server farms with various host sites beyond my own site for diversity.

Yeah GoDaddy is good for getting the domains, but

WebHostingPad is a great source for hosting especially if you need one with databases, variety of scripts and such. I love it

But uhh... I'm selling domains on GoDaddy as well and what would be a good way to get people marketed to them?

I register with GoDaddy and always use HostGator for hosting. They really have the market cornered, seems like everyone uses them.

I'm going to be ordering a Reseller Account today to work on a project I've wanted to do. I'm pretty sure it'll be just as rockin' as my Shared Hosting account. Looking forward to making some extra cash re-selling...

I've had nothing but problems with webhostingpad....been with hostgator for the last 4 years and had excellent luck with them. our hosting cost are covered by the accts we sold as resellers.

Personally I wasn't impressed with hostgator. Had a lot of problems a few years ago with them. Seemed their server was always glitching. Worse their tech support wouldn't admit to it and claimed it was me. My pet peeve is tech support who doesn't read your support ticket and simply sends out a canned response. Taking you days to get something resolved that should take a few minutes.

Site5.com was ok until they sold it a few months ago. It's been pretty crappy since then. Support rarely knows what they're doing. There are constant glitches with the email and problems with the servers either loading slowly or simply stating no such domain. Last weekend I lost three days worth of back up email because they incorrectly installed a filter. I used them primarily as a back up for my real sites but I'm moving to another server.

I like the servers I have now. Robust and good tech support who actually read your support ticket and respond to it instead of sending a canned response. But I need a backup. In this day and age of well established companies going out of business it's always a good idea to have back up servers. And at only $10/mo or so for a reseller account there's no excuse not to have one.

I want to get an account with namecheap reseller hosting. I had an account with them when they first started hosting and they had some problems, but they were on the support end of it, I figure by now they got thier shit together.

I didn't know BlueHost has a reseller program... but I do use their affiliate program.

For hosting I use BlueHost and JaguarPC. For domain registration I use BlueHost. $10/year dot coms and privacy is included... you pay extra for that at GoDaddy.
