This is the song with a video to go along with it. The domain is definitely undervalued if you embed this video on the site lol.

If you are very good at monetizing the site and you can get results fast then yes it is worth it!

Yes if you can setup + optimize + monetize it FAST.
But keep in mind someone else might buy "socallmemaybe.com" since that's the original phrase.
These sites don't last forever, you have to know when you cash in.

The I know the previous and last owners of 2 girls 1 cup, was sold for a small chunk of change before it got popular, bought back before it went viral, made a ton of $, and resold. And now it's pretty much dead... They knew how to keep it running with all the traffic had 4 servers running whenever one went down another popped up, etc.. Okay back on topic, this area has already gone viral, but the site hasn't..

I don't think there's a lot of value if the site isn't going viral, her video can go viral all it wants, but unless it's going directly to your site it won't work for the best. Is there still money there? Yes, but me personally I wouldn't throw cash into it.. If you're more risky go for it.

It could be, not because of a song ( everyone will forget about that song in a few months ), but you could make something adult related.
Something with phones, and also you could pay Carly Rae to make a video ad :D.

I'd prob setup a video tube with all the people signing it, sorted by celebrities, regular people, musicians, etc.

man.. these cheerleaders are hot..
anyways, you can monetize this domain while it's hot..
cpa + adfly + adsense + amazon + fanpage (which you can sell likes and shout out soon) + facebook apps
put in everything that gains money with all this traffic.. and if you earn atleast 15 to 20k then the domain will be worth it but make sure you monetize it quickly before the viral effect expires..

If I held that domain I would be selling soon.

How would you monetize a site like that? Just selling the single? Yeah... overpriced.

Everyone is saying cash in while it's hot but holy shit, that song is old by today's standards. I mean that thing came out like 4 or 5 months ago?
And it still gets talked about and riffed on. Still, you'd have to monetize uber smart to make up your initial investment let alone profit big time.

The level of hat on this song could actually make this domain valuable.
