What network should you use for a gaming channel?

The usefulness of joining a network is debatable, but if you want to make gaming content and earn money, you have to join a network.

They take care of copyright and all the licenses for showing gaming footage.
They provide protection from click fraud which small youtubers are vulnerable to (also false copyright claims).
Adsense Ads for gaming aren't that great and they have teams to get better paying ones.
Chances to collaborate with other channel and cross pollinate your subscriber bases.

Anyway, which partner network is the best to join?

Here are a few I know about and what they provide. Please, if you have more information or anything to add then post in this thread, thank you.

TGN http://www.tgn.tv/ 80/20 split
TGS http://thegamestation.com/ part of Maker Studios 60/40 (I've been corrected) split if I'm not mistaken (does Maker Studios take a cut and then the rest is divided by you and TGS?)
Curse Network http://www.unionforgamers.com/ flat $3 CPM, leave whenever you want.
Machinima http://www.machinima.com
YEOUCH http://www.yeousch.com/

Which networks are the best to join? Highest average CPM/highest fixed CPM? Any prior/current experiences?

It is entirely possible that there might be scam networks out there, but with gaming it IS a NECESSITY.

TGN- They suck and have bad CPM, not my thoughts but many.
TGS- 60/40 Split, great CPMs but no promotion.
Curse- Alright. $3 CPM is not the greatest because TGS has best CPMs and you go through a background check for your channel.
Machninima- Alright. They have a fixed CPM and you get paid out on the 15th. I have the contract just PM and I will get it to you.
Yeousch- Its modtly fullscreen so they are okay.

it seems the best choice is a split between TGS and Curse. TGS has a sister network RPM that basically anybody can join and it has a 60/40 split. Kind of hard to believe that TGS has a 60/40 split too then.

From what I hear, Machinima is a good network to be with. Along with being one of the most popular, a lot of the most popular channels are with Machinima, and so being with them will make your viewers get a sense that you truly are a good gamer, and that you post quality videos.

From what I've heard machinima screws the small guy pretty hard and pays you as little as they can get away with. Lifetime contracts, 3 year contract to get a fixed $3 CPM (otherwise way less). All kinds of BS. Those big guys like UberHaxorNova have it good because they have room to negotiate because of how large their channels are. I wouldn't be surprised if they earn 3x per 1000 views what the regular dude does.

Hmm, I was thinking of just buying views or something for a gaming channel but had this thought..

Google is a very big company, and as such they are supposedly too big to see fraud and thus you can click your own ads right? No.

I once clicked my own add, I got $1.

If you are going to be defrauding companies on a scale that is worth it, it will have to be a sophisticated operation and you'll likely be caught and face serious consequences.

Isn't Machinima paying after 20k views?

Even channels with over 100k subscribers and make several videos a day have around 1000-3000 views on a video.
I don't see gaming channels being profitable

Your goal should always be to increase the number in your bank account. Do whatever you must to increase it, but that's the goal at the end of the day.
