Hi,

I have noticed recently that my site has been getting huge amounts of back links from a site I did not recognise View attachment 15979 So I did some further research and found my site was 1 of the links on this page with an anchor text for some drugs.

So I contacted the forum admin and site owner to ask for it removing, but they don't respond. Then I asked the hosting to take the site down but they wont. So my questions are :

1. will it affect rankings with just over 10,000 links from here pointing at my domain

2. Why bother ? What is it achieving

3. Anyone got any other ideas on how I can get shut of it ?

1. It can result a Google penalty to your site.
2. It's most likely your competitor who want to sink your site. You should heard already about "negative SEO".
3. There isn't too much you can do to get the link removed as you already tried to contact and didn't get any response.

This is pretty much the same info I would give you. Inform google immediately of whats happening if you don't mind them reviewing your sites back link profile and hopefully they will discount your links as opposed to giving you a penalty.
