Never had any issues with their support, they have been great all of my tickets got answered in less then an hour and sometimes they respond in five minutes. You should probably tell them about that incident i'm sure they would compensate you somehow. That's what I like about Hosterbox if you have an issue with something they usually just compensate you or find a solution for you it feels like your always talking to managers or actual humans not just a bunch of people that have to respond to tickets all day and dont give a shit. I requested a transfer and it took them a few hours so I contacted them about it and they gave me 15% off for that month just to say sorry. I'm sure they would do the same for you.

Try HostMantis, I am using them and they are great, fast support fast servers and no downtimes.
They have always active some discount, so just check their Twitter for code, they have 50% off now, it doesn't matter if you bay, monthly, quaterly, semi annual, annual, discount is always there... and if you take anything other than monthly, you get additional discounts.
They have their own servers, but they don't offer VPS, just Shared, Reseller and Dedicated.

Edit: One thing forgot to mention... as I remember they may cancel your account and refund you if you use false info for registration
