Another thing, how do you make sure that there's no outbound links footprint?

Version 2 (to be rolled out in stages, finishing before the end of september) with have one link per domain in posts. I didn't expect people to still do that 3 links per post thing... but a handful of people have, and I've told them not to. But we're adding an automated check for that.

But that's more post-format footprint really. I'm not sure what you mean, we can stop people linking to where they want to across different networks (a new network setting is coming, we're going to limit outbound links to specific networks, but that's optional depending on which network). But we can't stop people building links to where they want to within the same network... otherwise there would be no point in joining the service.

Great! The trial's not quite free, it's $5 ;)

Finnish, but I'm guessing that it's too small market that it would be profitable. Thanks anyway :)

Yeah sorry we don't have plans for Finnish. I have plans for snowboarding in Finland.... but that's it sorry :(

Lol. True, but compared to what I've spent on seo....

haha, yeah, you wouldn't believe how much I've spent, and how much I've spent on building this system too!

So I have a few questions/concerns:

1) How exactly is SEOFightBack different from other blog networks (like John Ledger's 1Waylinks) that also tell users to upload their own wordpress blog so other people can post to it?

2) What if we upload to a network and the moderator of the network ignores it and never accepts or rejects the post? How do you handle that?

3) What is the range of PR0, PR1, PR2, PR3, etc... sites in your network?

Thanks
-Ken

Hi Ken.

1. This has already been covered in the sales page and in the thread ;) But to sum it up:

We don't have a central access point. All other networks (for sale, or advertised) are easy to destroy. Google can just sign up to their service, and kill them off. This is not possible with ours.
We're a lot cheaper.
We're niche specific.
We're not "hopers" like the other guys. They don't have plans for if something goes wrong. We have "link ejection" so your sites don't get blown up if a network ever gets discovered.
We offer the choice of fully private, and semi private networks.

2. They don't moderate posts, we do. They only moderate the sites allowed into the network. If they take too long to approve your sites, you can cancel the request and join a different network with the same site.

3. We have many networks. One of them if 50% PR0, a different one is 75% PR 2, 20% PR3, and 5% PR4. Every network is different so there's no point at all in giving out the PR ratios and numbers for 30 networks, only the numbers for the networks you join matter!

Ok I am on the brink of trying this out but I have one more worry-

How is the better than SEO Link Monster? I joined that a while back and got destroyed. Please ease my mind.

Thanks

Im in. Looks good so far.
The more this baby grows i can see it being really successful, and like OP says I cant see how Google can take this network of networks down....

Hi again, I'm sure I just answered that question! Post #92. In addition to that, we don't spin out across the network, and we're not horribly over-subscribed. They were literally pumping out dozens of posts per day on some of those blogs. We only post 0-5, in most cases, 0, 1, or 2 posts in a day.

Thanks I appreciate it. We've put a lot of thought into how to protect ourselves.

Please note I had to remove some our new features from this public list, there are some inner workings and filters/checks we won't be telling anyone about

Version 2 will be finished before the end of September, and there are some additional updates I will add on to the end of the list once they have been finalized witht he Dev. team. The spec was originally written to ask my team what was possible and to get a quote, so that why it may read funny at various point despite some editing!

Changes and new features for Members

General Changes (to whole members area)

1. Internal messaging system. For example, when Network Creator denies new site, they should be able to send a message to site own to explain why. We should have a dropdown list of reasons why site could have been denied, and also a small area for the Network Creator to add notes. This will be in a lightbox.

2. On profile/member home pages, we will have a feed where new messages are displayed. This is different from the email notification system.

3. Constant link to Wordpress sites. We can remind you about updates/warnings in the message area. We will force the plugin to auto update.

4. Changing 15 items per page display, particularly on the sites pages. Drop down menu at bottom of tables, "Number of items to display: 10,20,50,100"

5. Allow people to control all their WP settings for all sites from FBN dashboard. Maybe we need a new page/area for this. This is because when we make image posting, we want to allow user to opt out of images if they want to.

6. When page is refreshed, keep previous settings (sorting, filters), like when searching for a member, and deactivating, or approving a site but the page reloads the full list of sites in network, not the ones that need approving. It means you have to do filter "pending" again. It's annoying!

7. We need to have more network info shown on the invite/join-to-network pages. If member goes to network through invite link, he cannot see details of network!

New Network Creator settings for http://fightbacknetwork.com/network/new

1. Make it possible for network creators to specify content length. For example: Minimum content length (in word count), drop down menu 200,300,400,500,600,800,1000,1200,1500. Default for existing networks will be 400.

2. New option: Link Isolation: Yes/No. This means whenever a post is sent to this network, we check to see if any of the domains linked to, match any other links sent out from other networks. The default will be "no", and all existing networks will be set to "No".

3. New "Allow Link Reports" option. Default will be "yes". If this option is set to "No" then posts on this network will not show a URL on the members "My Posts" page. It will say "No link reporting" instead.

New features for http://fightbacknetwork.com/my_sites

1. Make WP code button copy like bit.ly, no confirm prompt, just one click copy.

2. Maybe adding a little icon of a pencil or something like that next to site name in order to edit it. This means allow members to change site name (not WP URL) of existing sites.

3. "View WP API code" text could be small icon instead, to save on screen space.

4. We need a new section called (a whole new page) "Posts on my sites". This will be a table that shows all posts sent to that member's sites. Each row in table should have: site name, network name, category, post title (which is link to post), and "Report" button, which will send message to admin to check post.

5. We need to have searches and sorting for this page, so user can search by WP url, or name, or by "not connected" etc.

6. We don't need to show WP Connected At, or Created At columns for members, only do this for Admin.

New features for http://fightbacknetwork.com/join-network-grid

1. On network grid, make check box for "Show FBN networks only."

2. Default display for networks should be largest networks (most current sites) displayed first.

3. We need to make display better for small screens, perhaps removing the arrow graphics to make more room.

4. Still, on this page, for column "Unique IPs", there are some empty table cells!

5. When member tries to join network, but PR check fails because of proxy. Instead of giving user incorrect error message, system will just try again, or prompt user to try submit again.

6. When Network Creator selects many categories, they all show in network grid, it looks messy, we will have scrolling inside "category" table cells.

7. Do NOT show networks with 0 confirmed sites in the network grid.

8. Add "Quick Search" bar, text search which will return results that match in Network name or category.

New features for http://fightbacknetwork.com/post/new

1. Image posting needs update to plugin so images are downloaded locally. Maybe we need to change file names too.

2. Enable image posting (max of 3 <img /> tags).

3. Limit posts to one link to each linked domain. So, it member makes max 3 links in post, all 3 links must link to different domains. Some members make 3 links all to the same place in the same post! We can't allow this.

4. Enable youtube video posting. (max 2).

5. If "tags" is left empty, randomly choose 3 words for post content to use as tags, excluding words like "like, the, and, is a" Maybe make it so it only pulls words longer than 6 letters long.

6. Make "source" tab the new default tab. Above Tiny MCE box, make message "PLEASE NOTE: The Default Editor is HTML mode, please click "editor" to change to WYSIWYG editor."

7. Instead of having 2nd cron job run automatically, can we hold posts in queue for moderation. If post is not checked by admin within 24 hours, it posts automatically. This means we need page in admin screen where we can approve/deny post, and give a reason why to member. If denied, posts must be stored so member can edit and resubmit.

8. We need system to check duplicate content. We use copyscape, but what if Member posts same post 5 times in a row, how can we know it's duplicated content?

9. When post is made, must check if allocated blog allows images/videos. If not, we need to strip those out of article content.

New features for http://fightbacknetwork.com/my_posts

1. Add new "delete post" button with "Are you sure?" Prompt.

2. Reinstate link disengaging for members. At top of this page have "Purge links" button, next to drop down of all networks user is a member of. This means, if a network is discovered, Member can select network, and then hit "purge" button, to delete all of their links from that network. Make sure the function prompts users to confirm.

3. Have "Download Link report" button, offer 2 formats: plain text and CSV. Plain text just returns a list of post URLs

4. Change "Not Used" to "Scheduled".

5. New status: "Correction". This is if admin has denied post, member can edit post and resubmit. Link need to go back to new post editor, with previous post loaded in tiny MCE.

New features for http://fightbacknetwork.com/site/new

1. When member adds site, we need to make a test post and check that the posted URL is correct. Some users have been using WP plugins to disable outbound links in published posts. We need to make sure the site does not do this. The test should wait 5-10, then check if posted link exists without the rel="nofollow" tag. The test should wait 5-10 seconds because some members are cookie stuffing and clickjacking sites. This is against the rules of the networks.

2. We need a bulk uploader. So probably a textarea box, each site on a new line. So member can copy paste large list of sites. Each site on a new line. Maybe limit bulk uploads to 20 at a time, if list is too large prompt user that list is too big.

New features for http://fightbacknetwork.com/my_networks

1. On network manage pages, we want the list of networks to be sorted with "pending confirmation" at the top by default.

2. Next to "manage" button, we need a link to submit sites to network, this will be the same as clicking "join" or using that networks invite button. This means members does not have to go to network grid to join their own networks.

New features for http://fightbacknetwork.com/my-profile

1. I got this email: "Hi Mikey, I've submitted 5 sites each to a different network and they're all accepted by the networks, but my profile is still showing 0 post quantity remaining today. How to exactly know my dailiy credit?" Profile number will update correctly after site submission.

2. Affiliate system on this page. For example. "This is your affiliate link, earn 50% commissions!: http://aff.com/hfsda673rb" More about payment and affiliate system further below.

More features:

  1. Adding description box, where Network Creator can describe their network in less than 300-400 characters. The input box will appear on "Create Network Page". This info box will only be displayed on the "join network page", NOT on network grid. We will also have a "cancel, go back to network grid page" link on this page too.
  2. Bulk uploader from directory for posting tool. So members can choose folder on hard-drive, and system will add all articles (each one a .txt file) in folder to queue, (moderation and duplicate content check is same as normal posting system). We need to have some format, so system knows first line in txt file is article title.
  3. A "preview" screen, so member can preview normal posts and bulk added posts to make sure the format is correct.
  4. Add a current "word count", so people can see how many words are in their article currently.

Thanks for all the feedback guys, the new updates will really make the system easier to use.

We had a competition for our members, and we have our winners.

So don't just take my word for it; our members are getting results with Fight Back Networks (SEO Fight Back) :)
