The best bet is to buy banner space on high traffic sites.
Search on buysellads.com for banner spaces

The best way is to give away "free websites" where the customer would sign up to your affiliate link and you make a basic website. Often just uploading a pre made wordpress template.

promote 1cent/month coupons ..they get automatic renwal after 1 month
just comment that coupons in youtube videos as "use dis coupon for 1 cent " and get some likes to it
also also use as signature and promote in webmaster forums

I used to be a web host affiliate, but eventually you'll realize it's much nicer getting the residual income even though it's smaller at first. If you're able to make residual web hosting affiliate sales someway, then that's good too, but it's a very competitive niche.

I would opt for trying to do web design and getting clients on hosting, or get people on a reseller hosting rather than just with hostgator or something.

I use this method to make between $500-$1000 a month working about 30 mins a day.

Use craigslist and post ads about how you are an up and coming web developer and for a limited time you will offer free websites.

Build them a simple website using wordpress and recommend the web hosting company that you're an affiliate with.

The customer will most likely go with the hosting company you recommend.

You can even offer to do SEO for their website for a monthly fee. The possibilities are endless!
