Stop these 'Thanks' / 'Reputation' whores.

Plenty of threads offering FREE services, ranging from Twitter followers to Backlinks, all so that users may acquire 'Thanks' or 'Reputation' - Isn't that against some sort of rules if they're not actually doing or giving away what they're claiming to.

Okay, enough joking around. I don't really see why people desperately ask for a Thanks or a rep. You should earn it, and it will be given out when you least expect it. If anything, these thanks/rep whores should at least post quality content with real value. I'm starting to think the quality of both thanks and rep is starting to flush out.

Besides, we all see how a lot of reputable members here end up in the shitlist. So much for their amount of thanks and rep.

Congratulations on clearly stating the obvious.

Having to see these kinds of threads every day for a month has become draining, BHW is great, but after a while the cracks begin to show.

So much potential that I can see becoming worthless due to too many bad apples ruining the bunch.


I'm here for the long run, not sure about yourself, so not looking to work and contribute somewhere if I can't at least attempt to aid in the destruction of WHORES!

It`s your choice to give a rep/thanks or not. Reps and thanks doesn`t worth a lot without good posts.

I don't think there is an issue with it as long as the user is actually providing something useful and isn't begging for the rep.

Of course if the user isn't delivering or is begging for rep they probably don't deserve it.

But it's ok because users sort that out by giving negative rep to people who deserve a negative rep.

Firstly, I thought that they'd be legit.

But after their countless threads with no one apparently getting what was offered I clued in.


I also created a thread that was legit and mentioned nothing about thanks or reputation.

I think it is something that will work itself out. The people that deserve it are the ones that naturally will get +rep and thanks. Its not something to worry about our care to neg rep someone for asking for it. That is a waste of time where you could be learning or applying your knowledge towards something useful.
