Alot of people learn #2 the hard way.. I admit I did look at it, I even bought 2 .99p items to see if it was worth it and quickly realised that no it was not

I just built my own rep up by being on ebay for a long time and selling items fairly cheap (problem with eBay now is that you don't make a lot of profit unless you are buying VERY large bulk or you can find some amazing deals)

Postage is also the biggest killer..the postage sometimes cost more than the item I was sending

1) Don't buy gigs from Fiverr. eBay know full well when people are trying to manipulate their Feedback. NEVER EVER DO THIS! It will do much more harm than good. Also don't be tempted by the "Feedback rings/circles" as they can also do a lot of harm to your account - eBay will flag this type of behaviour quite easily and very quickly.

It's been a while since I replied to this thread (Though, I believe it is an important thread to have around)

Not buying gigs from fiver is basically telling you don't go on Fiverr looking for people who will buy the same item as you..or who will swap feedback for $5. Ebay know these people as they are repeat offenders..it's a bit like how Google know someone is constantly churning out reviews on websites and stuff.

Just don't do it.

Couldn't you always create a few stealth accounts and then list some items for dirt cheap prices, so the fee is almost nothing, and then give yourself good feedback. Age these buying accounts, and then few months later use them to sell... ?

You could, but it's not worth crossing any of the information on accident. However, if these are a bunch of brand new stealth accounts with no pre-existing feedback, then it will raise red flags for feedback manipulation (that 10 accounts with 0 feedback and little tracking history have all purchased from 1 person. )

It's not hard to go buy a couple items, resell them for a loss and ship them out quickly. It's a good investment, and usually stores a couple dollars in your new PayPal account.

Yes, one of the best methods is to buy bulk (that is pretty much the bottom line of business..the more you buy, the cheaper it gets). The main problem with that? Everyone does it.. Yes you might be able to get item at a couple pence/cents a time, but what is stopping anyone else getting the exact same item?

You need to research your items before you buy in bulk, else you might be left with 4,000 items that you can't get rid of. It is better to have 50 items that you have a slightly smaller margin but can get rid of than 4,000 items that give you a better margin but you are stuck with.

I have done both. I have bought job lots of 100 items and sold the lot with a small profit within a few days/weeks and I have bought full business invents that have sat in storage for weeks/months selling a few a week with about 10% more profit than the 50 that shifted in days.

Hey good advise fellow member. Its important not to get flagged or banned by the bay because its a valuable money maker if you keep it legit. I learned the hard way when I got in a bind, but I knew the consequences and needed to keep my first account from loosing money.

As long as you know what you're selling and the buyer is happy, you should have no problem getting good feedback.

Sometimes you have to message them requesting them to leave you feedback.

As an example for OP's point #3, go to the dollar store and buy some cheap items that you can list on eBay and use them as a loss leader. Sell some baseball cards for 10 cents each, etc. Try to find something that is closely related to what it is you want to sell as your profit maker.

I have been selling for years on EB with stealth and I recently found a great way to get tons of feedback.

SHIP the item on day 1 or 2 with tracking numbers.
I know this sounds stupid to mention... But my feedback use to be LESS than 10% of my buyers left feedback (99.9 always positive) but I would beg for feedback from the rest. But my shipping times were slower...

It seems the average buyer on EB have the memory of a gold fish. After 2 or 3 days they don't care about you or your feedback. Get it to them fast.
I am getting around 50% to 60% of my customers leaving feedback. 3 stealth accounts are top sellers and one about to be TOP rated seller.

I have always been good to my buyers (mostly) but if they don't leave feedback EB doesn't care.

are you sure about fiverr i think you only get zapped by ebay if they look in at you and what would cause them on small cheap items?
