I don't think they can ban your adsense..Like somebody mentioned above,how does G know who the original owner of the content is because G ranks sites that rip off other sites.

Well I made one sale that didn't convert..I only had 35 clicks to my amazon out of almost 1600 clicks to my blog..pretty bad.

It depends..on blogs my link is anchored in the name field..on just comments I shorten the link back to my site.

To increase your CTR (It is,on my sites, sometimes up to 50%), add a picture in each of your posts, and link it to amazon. In the text on the left hand side of the picture add textual affiliate links as well, you may use something like buy now button from amazon.
