I dont' want to get banned for this, so I'm asking if it's ok here.
I have a free web site that has a few tools on it to make setting up spintax campaigns easier. I want to get feedback and request features for it. Do I need a paid thread for this, or can I just post the url and ask for feedback.

Make sure you are not selling anything or trying to achieve sales by posting the thread.

If you are only looking for features or suggestions than that should be fine - but make sure you are not making money or trying to sell anything indirectly.

well I do have a few banner ads on the site, but that's not my intention.

Probably a stupid question, but I'm guessing using an affilliate link in a reply is frowned upon? Even if it answers the posters question?

I'm not really sure if it's against the rules but I am sure it is frowned upon. If you really want to promote an affiliate program, create a thread on the Affiliate Programs section.

Just post! if your tools can help bhw members, at least they find your site useful, why not!

I think that section is for announcing your affilliate program or asking questions about an affilliate program. I'm talking about where someone says "I need a program that does xyz." And you reply with "This does exactly what you need -- check xyz" where xyz is using your affiliate link to the software.

I went ahead and posted. I'm still here...so I guess it's all good. Even got a rep out of it already.

Ignore wpbacklinks, that is definitely not the way to go about it.

If you're looking for beta testers, or collecting reviews, I would suggest the beta section, located here. Before posting, I would suggest reading the rules of that section, located here. If you what you're looking for fits within the criteria, go ahead and post and someone will take a look and approve you.
