Are there any DJs on the forum??? Or people who love Dance Music in General?

I am, i am doing drum n bass, reggae, jungle, dubstep. What you need?

Don't DJ but similar tastes as above, but adding in breaks, house, garage.

Yea have been for 13 years, dj'd across Europe and UK and loved every second of it

Now slowing down

What kind of stuff did you play?

Started out as breaks/hard house, then hardcore and now it's a mish-mash of everything :) Never been scared to throw everything into a set

Would love to crack the house/tech areas a bit more though

Nice mate, liked all what you said, apart from the hardcore lol.

It's a shame breaks isn't really as big as it used to be in the UK. Places like Spain still love it though.

Yea I think the Plumps and Warriors held the scene up for quite a while but people got bored of the same line ups

Yeah you're probs right. Plumps moved into a more housey direction, though for me Stanton Warriors are still one of my all-time favourites, love them.

Last couple of years there's been a rise in the Ghetto funk sound, not necessarily in the uk but everywhere, like really funky breaks. People like Pimpsoul (uk), Basement Freaks, Kultur and Colombo, Stickybuds - check them if you haven't already.

I'm a wedding DJ. But by day I do web design and SEO - which is why I'm on the forum.

Anyone ever hear of BlueTech? . . . That dude does some dope beats.

Very tricky stuff! :)

Would never consider myself a DJ but I like to play, crappy controller and keyboard custom mapped for Traktor and I've been playing around in ableton. As for music, started out listening to trance back in 2006 and then have been really heavy in the scene since 2009 when I attended UMF for the first time.

yup, i'm a dj and producer. I'm signed to skrillex's label owsla. Just a remix, but still.

Also signed to feed me's dnb label lifted.
Don't really dj anymore, got so many allergies and I can't travel. Mostly make music in my studio.

I am : ) I used to DJ in clubs a lot but I started producing more cuz thats where I feel future $ wise and career wise is. Being a DJ just isn't enough anymore sadly : (
