Highly unlikely. Twitter is not as tough as Facebook when it comes to fake accounts or even spam.

As long as you are not mass following, sending a bunch of at mentions, and over posting links the account should be fine

Asking if you'll get banned from Twitter on an open forum is just asking for opinions and pretty much every answer is just a guess as no one really knows if you will or if you won't. Only Twitter can tell you the answer but there are things you can do to lessen the chances of being banned;
1) Don't give you Twitter username on an open forum while admitting to buying fake followers.
2) Don't buy fake followers
3) Don't send out too many Tweets in one day (what's the safe number? Ask Twitter as they're the only ones who can tell you without guessing)
4) Don't follow too many people in one day. (What's the safe number? See point 3)
5) Don't unfollow too many people in one day (Ditto above).
Twitter account gets banned for many different reasons and it can never be nailed down to one reason and every case is different. If you're aggressive with your following and unfollowing in a bid to build up your follower numbers then you may need to look again at the reason why you're doing this and the end result that it will give you.

well i think if your account is that old and you tweeted often, than you can be cool...
But i dont get the point of fake followers/likes? Its better to have 200 interested people than 20.000 FAKE people...

You're absolutely correct about fake followers vs interested followers. Twitter allows you to leverage others and to easily reach their followers. If you simply Tweet good stuff to people who are actually interested then you'll find those people actually RT your stuff to their followers and that's how to use Twitter the smart way.
Leverage others by being smart rather than trying to 'trick' others in to following you. We all want 'results' from Twitter but so many people are going the wrong way about it and are creating hard work for themselves.

You're right. Twitter will eventually catch up with those accounts but it will constantly be a game of cat and mouse. Like you say "it's all about the money".

Don't Worry, you will not be banned, just maintain some timing of posting tweets, alsp follow the people which are visible in you home page with a follow button.

It may be the wise move to deactivate your Twitter account. However, you could also begin following more people that follow you back.
