cutting my expenses

Why are my two largest expenses per month proxies and vps...do proxies really warrant the same price as a vps? Why are they so expensive when all it does is forward an http request and return the response. Not like a full blown operating system or anything.

I found 100 private shared proxies for $35/month...before that I was paying $24/month for 30.

My vps is $28/month for 2gb unmetered.

I pay around $10/month in captcha solving. I've started to use CaptchaSniper a lot more.

For hosting I pay about $200/year for fast, reliable shared cloud hosting. ~ $17/month
Plus about $9/year in domains...at around 50 domains. ~ $37/month

That's a total monthly cost of about $100/month.

Now I bring about $90/month on paid directory listings
And about $20/month on adsense.

That's a profit of $10/month.

Shared proxies are not going to be as good as private proxies (more likely to get banned). If you doing backlinking a lot of your backlinks will get rejected (or removed) with poor quality proxies (since the IP may get blacklisted). On the other hand if you get a lot more proxies you can afford to get backlinks rejected (removed backlinks are worst in my opinion than rejected) so basically you choose.

I'm using a list of 100 proxies. I just want to check them against blacklist.

If you're asking about my hosting, no it is shared cloud hosting w/ media temple.
