Regarding social bookmark descriptions. It says 250 chars.

What is best procedure here?
Shortest = 100
Longest = 290

It's nearly impossible to get the longest to 250.

I want to know:
1) If that should be the max? or the average with spintax?
2) If the longest is 290. Does this mean the submission will get rejected? OR will it just cut off the extra chars in the submission?

You can change your search query rate in options -> submissions. Check "use proxies... everywhere" and then check "custom wait time between search...", too. Depending on how many proxies and search engines you use you can adjust the waiting time.

1) How many root level categories do you recommend to add?

Depends on your niche, but 5-10 should be Ok.

2) Do you use masks?

Yes.

3) Surely it's best to leave everything at root level as there really could be any number of sub level formats.

More likely to be accepted (or have a successful submission) if it has the right category.

So would this be the best format?...

If those categories are most relevant for your niche, test them.

I suggest that you select all possible SE first. In your project options check the SE by right click -> check by country (US/UK/Int). If you have done that you can lower your search query time to less than 10 seconds. But you have to make sure that you use a large variety of different SE! googleUS + googleUK + yahooUS + yahooUK are only 2 different SE for example. Just choose all google and bing clones at least to your SE list. I for myself use 36 non-google SE (~25 different SE) with 10 shared proxies and a query time of less than 5 seconds without any problem so far.

So if you are targetting only UK websites, you right click select UK as country and it auto select all applicable search engines. This is what I initially did and it only selects a few engines. (about 6).

Should I now add US and other engines on top of this? (i.e. so it's no longer targetted at local search results?)

All I can say is the more SE types you select the safer a low search query time will be. It is also possible to add your own SE to the list. "Ecosia" for example is only listed for international SE but it is also possible to search for local (UK) results. Open "SE.dat" in your GSA program folder and take a look into the settings with an editor. You can tweak the SE at own risk so you have to backup this file first. Copy/paste the "[ecosia]"-part and rename/edit the following lines:: [ecosia UK];; country=United Kingdom;; url=ecosia... q=%search%&sc=gb&sl=en&count=50&offset=%page%

I've only tried using less than max characters, and have had no problems.

I believe that it tries to find a match in the order of the category list. To change the priority, just edit the list order.

If you're targeting the UK, then having just UK links would not be natural, so you could add US, Ireland, etc.

Nice! I worked on the XenForo-script pretty hard and failed to get it to work. So I'm eager to see what I've done wrong. Every XenForo-forum (around 100) I've seen so far used reCaptcha and profile links are n0follow. If you only use CaptchaSniper you can uncheck this engine.

whats the advantage of xenforo links then? there are plenty of other forums that have a mix of do and no follow links, why did u try so hard to get it working and why did sven feel the need to add it? *confused* :-/

As I started out I didn't know about reCaptcha and n0follow and it was an observation in the test phase of the script with a sample size of around 100 forums. Which types of forums you would suggest with d0follow links and "open" profiles (w/o registration)?

Still getting the wrong anchor text on my win 7 setup. Anchor text from my 30 projects is posted randomly into all of my projects. heard this one mentioned before -pretty major bug.

I couldn't tell for sure that all links are always n0follow, because of my small sample size, but I suppose that most of them are along with reCaptcha.

Thanks for your feedback. I change my mails frequently, but I always missed such an "indicator". Nice that it really has a use and isn't just something nice-to-have (I think this can make a lot difference related to the success-/verified-rate).
