Noob Best Practices

I am totally new to IM and this forum, so I am trying to soak up as much as possible. The information on here is a little overwhelming... but knowledge comes with time and application, so I'm not too concerned about that.

I was wondering what are some of the basic practices a total nob should follow:
for example- using proxies- when and why
protecting accounts- methods and best ways to be banned/keep from being banned/be banned
Obvious problem areas (that beginners don't think about)
That kind of thing...

I really want to accelerate my learning curve, so any help/advice will be greatly appreciated.

Don't worry about proxies, don't worry about most of that stuff. Proxies are used for creating social network accounts, running link building tools, etc. Just focus on learning the basics of SEO, building a quality website, etc. Pay people who know how to build links for you to start, then gradually start leaning more advanced methods, these take years and years to master.. For the banned part, follow all advertising guidelines on your website, and for search engines don't build 1,000 links overnight, take it very slow and write original content on your website.

If you really want to learn something then you need to start doing that as quickly as possible. That would be better for you. Unless you try you never know what gonna happen.
