GSA Search Engine Ranker - Extremely Powerful Linkbuilding Software (Free 5 Day Trial)

I'm having an issue with the automatic proxy testing of public proxies. I set up gsa to check a few proxy sources and have the program automatically test all of the proxies. The problem is that it has been getting stuck in testing with threads that won't stop. I have to restart the program.

Has anybody else had this problem? It's happening on more than one install of GSA for me.

edit: I'm running 2.82 (haven't tested 2.83 but this isn't in the change log)

I'm glad that you have created such a powerful tool and you update it constantly and that its absolutely phenomenal how much results this has been for people. I'm just curious though is there a manual or like a step by step video on how to use all of the features. Or once you buy it, you gotta pretty much figure it all out by yourself?

Search 'GSA Sof' on youtube. That should get you going. Anything more challenging should be searched for here.

There is a manual if you click the "Help" button which is a little bit outdated but covers the basics. I would recommend that you watch all videos from S4ntos. Search for "GSA Sof" on youtube.

I'm trying the 5 day trial. I made a campaign just for blog commenting for a test. I did what is instructed on your tutorial about importing your own list. I check none for country, clicked ok and then uploaded my list that came from scrapebox. After hitting the start button, I see this "09:29:42: [ ] Loaded 0/0 URLs from site lists" and I see it's still submitting. Is that normal?

Also want to know what this means:

09:34:56: [-] 049/799 download failed - http://blogs.valpo.edu/anzhen/2008/01/25/welcome-to-my-blog/
09:35:01: [-] 050/799 download failed - http://www.mana.com.mx/entour/?p=137

09:35:29: [-] 053/799 download failed - http://www.benhauer.pl/slownik/r/reklama-kontekstowa/

I am using private proxies. My setting is after 25 verified links, it should stop.

Usually means the proxies aren't working. Did you test them?

How many threads are you running and what is your html timeout?

I ran into this same issue, When I tested them with GSA it showed they were working. When I tested them with SB it showed failed on all. When it ment basically was that the proxies were dead. But still showed as working in GSA. I got 10 new proxies tested them out and worked just fine than everything was back to normal.

Unless your connection is horrible that should be fine.

All that error message means is that for some reason GSA was unable to download that url. For me its usually the proxies. Sometimes there are issues with the program and a program restart sorts things out as well.

Oh yeah, if you stop the program from posting the remaining threads will show up as download failed.

kinda confused here. I ticked off all country search engines and imported the list. and I see it is scraping urls and submitting it. is it scraping the list I imported? if yes, how come it says "Loaded 0/0 URLs from site lists"

Also about the private proxies, do you have any suggestion on minimum amount of private proxies should be used?

Just tested all 10 private proxies on scrapebox and they are all working fine.

Download failed = Proxy issue.

The 0/0 URLS from site lists means you must have, "Use URL's from Global Site Lists" checked. Unless you have your global site lists setup you don't need this checked. You just create your project, right click the search engine box and select "check none" then click ok. Once your project is ready you right click on the project and select, "import target URL's" then start your project.

It seems like you are having a proxy issue. Can you switch the proxies to "posting" so they're only used for posting and see if that does anything.

Okay, I've tried a different campaign, this time just for social bookmarking.

same set up I did on blog commenting, imported target URL of social bookmarking sites and it's working.

The imported URL worked on that campaign but on blog comment, like I said, got this "Loaded 0/0 URLs from site lists" although it's submitting comments based on messages.

Currently, for blog comment, it's Active (P) due to 100 url/hr. so far 232 submitted and 2 verified. What I have scraped on scrapebox aren't 100% AA but filtered out captcha and bad URLs.

If you are saying it's a proxy issue, why did it worked on social bookmarking campaign?

It's really hard for me to say without looking at your software and how it was setup and ran. However, I just did a import blog test and imported a small list I had laying around and it worked fine. Ran through the whole list within a few minutes (143 URL's).

1) You know I'm not sure exactly what the description box is used for with php link articles. The best thing to do would be to select only that platform and test it out and see where your description is used.

Description is used for Link directories. You do not need to embed link in description as the title will become a link to your site.

new: option to randomly use a general/natural anchor text like "click here" or "more on %url_domain%"
Google likes to see these kind of links as it looks much more natural.
- new: speed improved for site list parsing

I've got two questions related to the new version (thx for notifing us!):

1. Does anybody know what percentage is used for thic generic anchors? ATM I configured (with success) my SER manually to use such anchors. It would be nice to know how often they are used.
2. About sitelists: Where do you search for sitelists beside pastebin? I've tried different sites but not with a lot success beside pastebin.

PS: YEAH got posting #2000 in this thread :D
