Squidoo Lens generating about $200 weekly - How much is it worth?

Junkfood00, no one here is saying sell the lens for 10x's the amount of revenue. I never asked anyone for that. Did you even read the thread?

I didn't actually. But what I was trying to get across is that to get the best out of it, do as suggested. It's sad to see a $800 per month money maker going for something like 2-3 months revenue. There is a risk tied with the property that it can be deleted at any time.

I have a squidoo lens that I created a few months ago. I have to physically stock the merchandise and ship it myself.

Everyone wants to fight about how much they think the site is worth. No one (but me) asks how many hours a week it takes to earn that revenue.

Guys I am new here but not new to IM. One basic question that is still unanswered about the lens. Is the product selling on Squidoo legal and in compliance with intellectual property law? If it is, you can get about 6X = $5000, if it is not then it is a whole new issue involving law suits. My experience is that, when you are into stocking something and getting huge profits by selling, it usually is not an original product that you are selling and will involve high risk to get sued. Just my pure opinion.

You're probably better off working out a revenue split with someone that would take over the product fulfillment for you rather than selling it. Even at a 50/50 split, you'd get the income from that point forward with no additional stress nor work on your part... but then the question is, would it be worth the time it takes for the other person if you tried to work that out. (aka, how much time does it take the other person to acquire the inventory and fulfill the orders?)

What he said.

To the 3-4 people who jumped all over the OP for asking a simple question: Don't you have something better to do? Geez. When the guy starts trying to sell the lens to you, then be critical of his claims. If someone PM's him from seeing this and offers him money, it's their business.

I've decided to hang on to the lens. I've gotten 5 sales in the last 3 days from it. It's been pretty consistent over the last 3 or 4 months.

I must add that the product does infringe trademarks...but oh well...I've found a way around lawsuits...I don't think I'll get what I'm looking for so I'll keep it and take my chances.

This lens has generated 5 sales in the last 2 days

No one is going to buy a lens that is copyright infringement. No one but a noob would buy anything like that. Physical stock, shipping, advertising, the risk of YOU reporting it and getting it deleted after sale. Only a WF or DP newb would buy it. In fact, I think you would have no problem selling it over there. Over here, we want solid sites, great seo, traffic, and no hassle for something like that. If I am going into physical labor, I want 400x the amount you are making per week.

You'd need to sell the lens, the site that I'm assuming you are driving people to in order to make the sale, the method/manufacturer/whatever where you get the product, etc...

If the lens looks solid I think you could get 4 months of profit. As mentioned, this is more risky than selling your own site which has the SERP ranking.

If i were the owner of this squidoo lens, i will sold it for monthly income * 10x

I think about 3 times that. You cant expect much more than that.

I buy (and sell) websites for the last 3 months of NET revenue. But for a lens, I need to check that out. It will be less though...

I don't care what anyone says about it being a freakin squidoo lens...how many of you guys are actually making $800 per month profit from 1 site? I know some of you are but many of you aren't.

I know the risks of the lens. I've had it for 5 months now and haven't had any problems whatsoever.

If I get an offer that I don't like, I'll simply refuse. It has to be the right offer for me, or else I'll keep making my $800 per month profit. I certainly don't have a problem with that. I don't care if it's trademark infringement or whatever...there's ways to keep your name out the mud.

4 sales today alone - $40 profit on each sale = $160 profit for 1 day

I've added a screenshot from my paypal account paypalsales2.jpg
