Hello all , my site is reached today to pr4 =]] but why its give me less traffic now? before its was about 400, and now only 100 lol... any idea?

btw what pagerank is doing to my site ? i still don't understand how its helping...

There is no relation between your site PR and Traffic.

There is no relation between your site PR and Traffic.

PR will help with authority. Useful if you want a ranking site to introduce new topics, get indexed quickly etc.
For instance "cars dot com" might have a PR of 6, and shoud any new products, innovations, topics come out to do with "cars" even vaguely related, then the new URL's this site creates to support the new tipoc will likely rise quite quickly. That's handy. Authority is good in other ways, but in IM this is the most obvious.

But it has very little to do with SERP's and traffic directly

That's why I don't get the issue with Nofollow links, the only thing they fail in is transfer is PR, and who cares too much about that?
Google lose exclusive patent on Larry Page's ranking system very soon - at which point I doubt even THEY will care about it any more.

my site pr 0 less traffic 50/day but earn 0,5$ /day

I would agree with everything you said here. You shouldn't expect higher traffic because your PR just increased.

No I think op is trying to say why has traffic dropped since the pr has increased and if there's any relationship between the two. It's most likely other factors might be causing the traffic decrease as everyone else has said no direct effect of pr and traffic

PR has Nothing to do with anything other than its a math equation of links.

It's also no secret how it's calculated. In fact you can see the formula here.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PageRank

Your link juice is now more valuable to a site your linking to than it was a few days ago. That's it. There are many sites that are PR0 sites and rank at the top for a keyword.

The reason your traffic dropped is something you need to investigate, but you can scratch PR off the list of things to look into.

PR helps your article rank up on search.

Not really. Sometimes it helps, but it is no guarantee.

Domain PR helps authority sites rank internal URL's better allowing them to retain authority when adding new content, but only if it is linked to.
The corrolation between SERPS and PR on a "URL by URL" basis does seem to exist, but it is not as strong as many would have you believe.

are you saying google is coming out with a new ranking algorithm soon?

PR 4 meaning you have good content authority, doesn't necessarily mean you have optimized the site for a specific kw that gets you lot of visitors
