BrainStorming - Need company name

Hello everyone,

I will create a company/project which I will sell clothes, shoes, fashion accessories and electronics too. So i'm thinking in some general names to this project.

I prefer that the name doesn't have any particular meaning, only that "stay" in our ears. Because after I will create my own brand.

I'm thinking in:

- louchan
- mashion
- ...

Any genious idea? I prefer that you pm me, for keep it a little bit private

It is always a good idea to check the domain of the brand while you are brainstorming.

Just done a bit checking for you, louchan and mashion .com are already taken. How I usually do it is make a list of feasible brand names and run the check to see if the dot com are taken, then select 1 of them from the available one.

Also, only you know about your own business and what it offers here in BHW, so it's better to figure out the brand by yourself instead of other BHW members.

I would make sure a) the domain is available and b) there are 0 results for that name in Google. That is if you want a brandable name. If you're just looking for a domain name that makes sense, then forget b) and just go with a) and emd.

i have two words for you: keywords and positioning. Company name should be catchy but should say what you are about and in what way you are better than your competition. Ex: "Best Buy"

i agree with you, but i think words like best, top, high, hot and others like this are too saturated in brand names. I think a really original name is the best choice

Will your company feature new products exclusively? Or a mix old and new products? (Big inventory?!)

Oh, I apologize - you also want to sell electronics too. Well in that case you would need to go with a broader concept that encompasses fashion and electronics.

If you want to put your own name into it than that will make it more memorable like a brand. Like Kleenex is someone's name I think, people will remember pronouns more than nouns (usually).

I completely agree with post, if at all I'm branding. But, if you just want to sell something and don't want to worry about anything else other than being an affiliate and selling products like me, then emd is a good potion.

BTW: mashion is premium domain by godaddy, which costs over a thousand bucks.

So, that wouldn't be a good option anymore I guess.
