Can someone make a living from AC?

one of the things with submitting so many articles is going to eventually be the taxes; if you're paying a dollar for rewrite, to which you might only get $2 from AC for the article, and taxes take 30 percent or whatever after you breach that threshold... that's like 30-40 cents profit (this is assuming your articles aren't great and only get that much per article). i mean, sure, it's profit.. but it's not much.

i'm debating with just submitting 25-50 articles per day on one account but the thing that's stopping me is knowing that i'll have to pay taxes on it.. course i'll probably eventually burn for tax evasion so whatever.

just use fake info, and a paypal account with a nickname, and you will be fine.

I don't think so....
The best way is to use AC and earn a few $$ to use in other projects

There's another thread on the boards asking a lot of the same questions and I've also posed the question before....Has ANYONE heard of someone being banned from AC for submitting too many articles on one legitimate account? So far I haven't. Anyone else hear anything?

Thanks,
gun-shy

PS: I make less then $100 daily and more then $60. Hope that helps you out Affguy08 (very nosy dude ;))

the question isn't being banned by AC, I believe that very few people on this forum had that experience, what happens is, the great percentage of us aren't from the U.S., most of us are from Europe or Asia, and we can never, in any situation, use AC in a legit way, because we have the $500-$600 threshold, and even if we wanted to, we have no U.S. citizenship to present them a W-9 IRS Form.

but to answer your question, I believe they don't ban you for submitting to many articles a day, I sort of tested one of my accounts, by submitting 40 articles a day for 5 consequetive days, and had no problem whatsoever.

btw, gun-shy, are you outsourcing, or using some translation method?

If you can write good articles, you're better off using them on your own websites, because, with the proper work, you'll be making 10x of times what you get with AC. Of course we're talking short term vs long term results here.

@phrasion: Thanks for the input. I think you're right. I submitted 30 articles a day on 1 legit account for over a week. I wasn't banned. I think that they (AC) would prefer you do that rather then jerk with them using different IP's and accounts (Just my theory). I also absolutely understand the position you guys are in outside of the US.

I have several methods to acquire content :D. Outsourcing is one of them.

Thanks,
gun-shy

PS: Please note that I'm not trying to "break the bank" on this AC thing. I'm not one of those guys making $300 per day on it and I don't plan on going there. Remember...Pigs get fat, Hogs get slaughtered ;)

@l0cke - I agree, be moderate with each account and make it look real is the best way to avoid getting banned.

@halifax - If you submit too many articles using one account, I heard there are a big possiblity to get more articles rejected compared to having them spread over to a few articles. Plus why pay for tax when you can simply have another account (as long as you stay under $600 for each account). That's the idea of having multiple accounts.

@leonidt - That's what blackhat is all about... :)

@hammad - If you stay under the radar, having multiple accounts is the best way to go with AC. I guess submitting too many articles under one account will get you banned too for the reason of "Spamming". Seen that before.

@adsensenewbie - Yes you are right, to avoid AC to suspect and pay tax is the reason why people having multiple accounts.

@seamusmcaffrey - taxes is a real headache when we are making so less on AC.

@phrasion - I agree with what you said but isn't it dangerous using a different IP (non-US) to login to an US account?

@ otto14 - yes planning to do that now after reading so many responses... :(

@gun-shy315 - hmm I just asked if it possible to make a living from AC...haven't see any thread about that before I posted :D Thanks for the info though!

@roamer - We can't wait, need short term :)

@gun-shy315 - then is the $100 a day your profit or just earnings?

Thanks all!

Let me put it this way, if you can write 25 400 article words a day, or 10,000 words a day, and you don't completely suck at writing, you can be making 100$ a day off of adsense in 6 months easily.

Amateur writers make 20$ per 400 word article minimum just to give you a comparison of how low AC pays you.

Give us more information how can that be done.
$20 of 400 words of articles through adsense??

Adsense needs much more than just articles, so that needs more time and effort.

@Affguy08: My profit depends on how many of the articles in a given day I outsource. I currently have a good re-writer that I pay $1.50 for 500 words. I know a lot of people pay $1 but this guy is fast and he's good...so I give him the $1.50.

Some of the articles I re-write myself using several different methods to find content. One hint: I don't re-write articles from Ezine. I use lesser known directories.

I'd say I profit $45-$50 a day...more or less. Like I said previously, I'm not trying to get rich with AC. Hope this helps.

PS: When I said you were being nosy I put a little smiley face at the end of that sentence. That means I'm not mad at you :D

Thanks a lot for the overview of what you are currently doing :)

I am going to do the same thing but in a smaller scale...lol no hard feelings!

Hey Affguy,

This is a great thread and has gotten some interesting and helpful perspectives from yourself and several others -- I appreciate you starting the thread. Thanks and reps to you.

I guess we have no way of knowing 100% for sure if submitting numerous articles a day really does have an effect on how much they pay you up front, but this thread makes me feel a little bit more comfortable about submitting more than I currently am without fear of being banned.

Thanks adsensenewbie and this thread is giving me more confidence too.

Expenses are tax deductable.

and even if we wanted to, we have no U.S. citizenship to present them a W-9 IRS Form.
Just download a W-9 IRS Form and put some bogus info on it, i doubt if the IRS has got any jurisdiction in your country (or mine). :D

A couple of problems with this

First of all, you actually have to drive traffic to Adsense sites to make money that way. Plus, you have to set up sites, blogs, whatever platform you want to use. That takes time

Also, in order to make money writing articles for other people, they have to find you or vice versa. And who's to say they will keep using you on a consistent basis?

Yes, these are better ways of making money, but for someone who is looking to make money that is basically GUARANTEED, I have yet to see a better system than AC

Is it possible to make a full time living on AC? I have been trying to answer that question for a while.

The way I see it, if I were to try to do it full time, I would need to submit 100 articles a day. I'm taking weekends off, so that would be 2200 articles a month (22 work days in a 30 day month). Right now, I average $2 PROFIT per article, so that's $4400 a month.

That is not great, but it is also more than I make at my J.O.B.

The biggest issue is the workload. Even if you outsource, you still have to spend the time submitting the articles. I have found this takes about 2 to 3 minutes each, and longer if you have to cite sources

3 minutes each x 100 articles= 300 minutes, which works out to 5 hours. Then add the time it will take to look up the articles that you want your freelancer to re-write.

That is a lot of boring data entry, but for me, this would still be better than working a job that I hate, where I have to follow all kinds of rules. Plus, it's fewer hours than the 8 I have to put in at my current, so I would have the time to build my affiliate sites etc. (ie, the stuff that will REALLY make me money)

Despite all that, I am SO ready to do this full time. Really the only thing that is holding me back is the fear that this might dry up

This will not dry up for some time..
But the question is, how many accounts, how many articles per account...?

if based on ONE person...i guess by doing full time..average can manage about 7 accounts...

one thing i want to bring up...dont submit more than 5 articles per AC account...

Dont ask me why....u will know why later....:)

i am not from the US and i need to get upfront payments ...what shall i do....this might be a dumbest question , but i need to know this...i read some ebook mentioning to partner with someone giving him 10% of the payment i get from AC , but how to believe a person who is another country submitting all my legit hardwork in his name?...sorry i am a complete newbie to AC and here as well.....please people help me....with some nice tips so that i can have my own written articles submitted in my name and get paid upfront as i am not from US...Thanks in advance

Why? :D

No seriously, I was planning to submit 12 articles per account. (Running 7 so 84 articles a day).

Whats the significance in 5 articles per day?
