Which way do you pefer to build backlinks?

Depending on the niche you are in, it will take more or less volume of links, but focus more on high page ranking sites and drip the links in time, rather than blasting all the way.

As far as software, I would recommend using zennoposter and creating your own templates if you have hard niches, if they are easy, you can use auto-posting software such as senuke. Stay away from blasting software such as xrumer and scrapebox until you have a better idea of what you are doing.

Creating backlinks manually for tier 1 seems ok but what about tier 2 ? You cannot make tier 2 backlinks manually since there must be at least a ratio of 1:10 unless you are creating high PR blog posts.

White Hat SEO is not more "ethical" thank Black Hat SEO.

There is no big difference between white and black seo, just better or worse sellers.

Do it yourself or pay someone to do it, don't use bots. I'm now working with brand links (backlinks with your URL as anchor) this works out really well!
