I saw another post on here recently with a pretty decent method re: generating PPC leads with an offline tactic.

Here's a twist I wanted to offer up for discussion:

Approach restaurants with a 50/50 profit share opportunity.

Offer to provide a flyer for every table in the restaurant. You can even offer to provide one of those acrylic flyer holders that will stand up and will protect the flyer....but of course this means a higher cost. Or just offer to provide a stack of the flyers they can replace as needed.

On the flyer say something like....

Help your local charity! (food bank, women's shelter, little league, school district, etc.) <<<I understand that this could be considered an incentivized offer, so you wouldn't have to include this>>>

While you wait on your meal, we invite our customers to check out these great offers....it's 100% free to call, and you may find something that will save you money!

List each offer with the telephone number and the anticipated time that the call should likely last, so they'll be influenced to stay on the call the appropriate time to get you paid. Something like....it only takes 2 minutes!

Split the commission with the restaurant 50/50. I have to believe that every table at a restaurant would get at least one call per day, but that's probably optimistic. If you're ballsy enough to include the charity twist, it should make it easier to get restaurant owners to sign up....."it benefits charity, and it benefits you....it's like selling an extra meal per day at every table". You can still use the charity angle without even advertising it on the flyer....just tell the restaurant owner that a % of proceeds go to a local charity.

Thoughts? Additional twists?

I'm a little surprised there's no feedback. No big deal, but is this just a crappy idea?

Actually the ideea is great but people are too lazy to get their asses out from their couch. Keep up the good work . I can`t apply the method , i`m not in the USA:(

I think the idea can work, and I agree, execution is ALWAYS the key. For the cost of printing some 1 page promo sheets and some legwork, you could start making a decent little income I'd imagine.

i m in asia ..so this method not work for me... however idea is good .. with little twist it can make money

my 2 cents you should target take out joints and have them place the flyer in with the order that way people take it home with them and you could also mention that a portion is going to local charity/ school sports / give it a local feel

have you tried your method somewhere?

Very fair question...no I haven't. That's why I posted the thread to start some discussion, get some twists, see what people thought.

Thanks for your addition to the discussion. You could certainly do that too. I think that by focusing on "sit-down" type restaurants, you can give people something to do while they're waiting on their meal, and conversion rates would be higher. Even train the waiters/waittresses to mention it to the patron after they take their order.....this would impact conversion rates significantly I think.

I totally agree because I use this method everyday with the charity twist and it works I have 7 "mom and pop" restaurants each averaging $50- $75/day with email and zip submits. Do the math and I could get more if I wanted. All they do is offer a free drink to fill out 3 offers. I pay the owners $100 for every 100 drinks, and so for every $100 I pay I profit $600. Not only this I have 2 other versions of this offline strategy that I use with freebie networks and other similar sites making over $1000/day. So this method definitely works and can be outsourced and scaled up for bigger profits. I'm just comfortable averaging $8000/week.

OK, now we're talking...thanks given for your contribution to thread. I like the email/zip submits method, because it seems like you can bypass the incentivized issue easier than with paypercall, but paypercall will generate more $. Would you care to share more about how you got the 7 "mom and pop" restaurants on board?

Not a bad idea. I will give cj ppc a try again.

I will do some craigs posting, and look for some restaurants to place banners.

Anyone care to discuss what types of offers they think would work best?

peoples are hungry when they got into restaurant !!! they don't wanna wait on phone for some silly things ! :) well except married folks maybe who most probably will take the call instead to wait for the meal on nagging :)

I agree that most people won't make a call and convert, but it's just like any other form of advertising/offer. I think with the proper advertising message, at least a small % of people will make a call while they're waiting on their food. And if you also promot a charity or offer a free drink, conversion rates will increase. It's all about numbers....example: if you have 1 restaurant with just 10 tables, and each table generates only 1 call per day, and the average pay-out is $10, then your gross is $100 per day. Let's say you give 10% to charity ($10), and you split the remaining $90 with the restaurant....that's $45 per day with 1 small restaurant. Land 5 or 6 restaurants, and it starts to add up. I'm waiting on approval from 1 more advertiser to give this method a try.

Flex,

It's a great idea. You should definitely give it a go.

You would have more money in your pocket if you minimize the split with the restaurant, I mean they mostly appreciate all the new customers they will be receiving from word of mouth advertising. That's my selling point when I tell the owner he'll receive new customers by others going out that enjoyed their food and also the complimentary drink for 60 secs to help out a "charitable" cause. They suck it up like a sponge and I keep 100% of my profits less agreed money paid for the free drinks or appetizers to the owners, or in some cases the money for the contest prize that I would be offering.

Thanks for the thread Flex. Chaysendoe, I have a question for you if you don't mind me asking. How do you have the waitresses/waiters verify that they've actually completed the offer/offers? It's the one piece I can't quite figure out. Do you just compare your stats vs what the restaurant reported in drinks given out? Or is there another way?

made a couple of coins on ppc with yahoo answer by answering relevant question to my nitch

by the way Great thread Im also branching towards the offline PPC, any Update have any one tried this method? or used any offline method with ppc that can share there knowledge.

I hear alot about fliers seems not very effective and if so with very little outcome and a lot of leg work but with a method like the OP stated, thinking outside the box can be durable.

Im going to put it to the Test with some salt, Ill be making some calls to a few restaurants in my home town until I hear a Yes, I already have a local printing guy so no sweat there.

Ill keep everyone updated with the progress...
