My first question is which theme is better thesis or headway?

My next question is, if you buy thesis theme, does Thesis put some kind of footprint in the files when you download it? I guess what I'm trying to ask is, can someone track who you are by looking at your thesis theme on your server.

What do you mean "better"? More configurable? Better design? It could depend completely on the type of blog you're trying to run.

As for your second question - wtf? How could someone find out who you are specifically by seeing your theme? That question makes zero sense. Yes people can put tracking code that runs on the footer, but the tracking code wouldn't tell you who specifically it is.
