Here's how we do it:

Keyword Research:

Doing all of our keyword research in Long Tail Pro and SEMrush. We are
only going after Low Competition keywords. We'll be using the following criteria:

General Criteria:

  • Exact Local Search Volume (ELSV): At least 800
  • CPC: At least $0.80
  • Even though we are using these minimums, we want ELSV x CPC = at least 1000. In other words, if the CPC is $0.80, we will only go for it if the ELSV is at least 1250 because 0.80 x 1250 = 1000.

Top Ten Competition Criteria:

  • We will be specifically looking at the strength of the competition for the keyword in the top ten of Google. We will be looking for the following:
  • At least 3 PR 0s
  • The PR 0's have weak backlink profiles (Less than 20 backlinks according to Long Tail Pro)
  • Presence of other Made For Adsense or Sniper sites with Exact Match Domains (This is a great sign)
  • Presence of "Weak Authority Sites". (Many authority sites rank for long tail keywords that they aren't really optimized for, this is potentially a good sign)

On Page Optimization:

Domain Criteria:

  • We will always prefer Exact Match Domains (EMD)
  • If EMD is not available we may go for the Partial Match Domain (PMD)

General Criteria:

  • Title is the exact match keyword
  • Description contains the exact keyword at least once
  • Keywords in tags include exact keyword, partial matched keywords, and other related keywords

Plugins:

  • Platinum SEO Pack
  • CBnet Ping Optimizer
  • Google XML Sitemaps

Article:

  • 1000 words
  • 1% Keyword Density
  • Related/LSI keywords sprinkled throughout the article
  • Keyword in H1
  • Keyword Bolded once
  • Keyword in Image Anchor text
  • Keyword linking back to home page
  • Keyword linking to an external authority page.

Only one article will be used to begin with.

Indexing:

  • Site will be pinged with CBnet Ping Optimizer, Pingler and with 'Quick Index' by ProfitInstruments.
  • Social Adr - Each Site will be submitted for 20 bookmarks

Backlinking:

Backlinking will be done with Magic Submitter or by using our VA who builds Software/Pad links. We may also consider split testing Unique Article Wizard in the mix, we haven't decided on that yet.

With Magic Submitter, the campaign will simply consist of Web 2.0s, Article Directories, and Social bookmarks in the first tier. The second tier will have social bookmarks and RSS. This linking strategy will be used for any Partial Match Domains that we have.

As far as the VA goes - the VA is building software and inserting links into the PAD file which is then submitted to several software directories. This strategy will be used for any Exact Match Domains that we have.

Overall:

We've built and ranked over 200 domains using this method and our monthly adsense earnings has passed $4k per month. Furthermore, we've been able to sell already made sites to those looking to invest. This method still works post penguin. If you have any questions, ask them below or visit our blog where we show exactly what we went through to make it this far.

Cheers!

Thanks for sharing your Adsense method...

I'm curious: why do you believe that the presence of other made for adsense or sniper sites with EMDs is a good sign?

Presence of other Made For Adsense or Sniper sites with Exact Match Domains (This is a great sign)

One other question: in the event you can't get an EMD what makes for the best PMDs? As in what are the smallest modifications to an EMD that make for PMDs conducive to high search rank?

Thanks in advance!

Where can I sell my sites? I know about Flippa, but how do I get a reputation there?

I want to be able to sell my micro niche sites, but at my own pace meaning I don't want to meet a deadline or a requirement. Just ranking websites, pulling in a month's worth of earning, then sell it and use the ranking and earnings to do the talking.

Help please. :)

I went to the WSO TESTERS website and they sell them on their own site!

The presence of other similar sites, lets us know that there are no powerful authority sites that are blocking the way and we can rank in front or beside them.
For PMDs, just add one word after the EMD. You can add "hq", "site", "pro", etc.

Yea, we had people inquiring about buying sites directly from us so that they can maintain the complete privacy of the site. The only way to build a reputation on Flippa is to start selling sites. I would recommend selling less valuable sites first to get your rep up, then once it's up you can sell the higher price ones for better deals.

How to know the CPC for each keyword ? What tool you use to check it ?

If we're blogging using foreign language like arabic, how can we choose the EMD ?

Just use google keyword tool. The tools I use, long tail pro and semrush also tell me cpc, but even those tools derive their cpc from the google keyword tool.

Sorry tritina, I don't know how to accurately answer that because I've only gone for english keywords.

damnit wtf, i swear everyone and their mother is doing this

Thanks for posting this! I guess I'm worse than a beginner (well I have been heavily perusing for the last two weeks), because I'm still lost in terms of keywords in regards to long tail etc. I know what keywords are in their simplest definitions and their function, and consequently, their use in website building and driving traffic to said websites. I need an ultra beginners manual haha. I'm going to look at this once more tomorrow and hopefully things will sink in and I can apply it when I follow through.

Edit: actually if the OP wouldn't mind, or anyone that is knowledgable, can I add him or someone on skype for some form of direction?

Hey Ravio. If you're interested, I made more detailed tutorials here.

We're currently building 30 more sites and we just finished getting the content on most of them. We should have all site indexed by the end of this week.

Great post. Thank you for listing the criteria. Very helpful.

bookmarked! gonna read this later thanks mate! :D

parley? :D

Do you write your own articles? Or, who is your supplier?

We use writers that we hire on odesk. You really have to filter through the writers though. We make sure to ask the applicants to write a short sample article using a random keyword we choose. You'll get less applicants this way, but you'll filter out the better and more serious writers.

Do you also look at the reputation for the oDesk writers? I've noticed a lot of people hiring like this, asking writers to write a short sample article.
How much are you paying for like this? And did you need to submit any tax forms to be an oDesk employer?

I also swear by this method. Both us and our clients have seen great results from Micro Niche Sites. The key is to go where the competition is as low as possible ;)

I like to hire writers that have some rep. I start off paying writers $0.60 per 100 words. And I don't remember ever filling out a tax form on odesk.
