GSA Search Engine Ranker - Extremely Powerful Linkbuilding Software (Free 5 Day Trial)

Does anyone have any additional engine .ini files they have coded? I am in process of coding one for Wordpress article directory (Dimox Theme) but am still testing whether it will actually do what it needs to do. If I can get it working right I will post it here for everyone to try.
I tried several engines with no luck at all (forums & wikis) and I'll wait till Sven is back from vacation to ask him for further help. If you want to, you can PM me your email and I will send you a link to a helper-file and a special notepad++ version for GSA scripts.

Oh, that makes sense, thanks for clarifying.

So then how would we be able to make sure all of our links are PR 1+ without importing our own lists?

You can't, unless they're links that appear on the same page that the PR is checked for.

To those who are using GSA Indexer, can anyone give me an idea why I am not getting over 1,000 sites to index my links anymore? It just happened yesterday. GSA Indexer crashed so I restarted it and today, I've noticed that it only indexes my links using 300-400 sites. It used to be something like 1,200+ d0f0ll0w sites and another 1,200-something nofollow sites.

I uninstalled using Revo Uninstaller, used CCleaner, rebooted my VPS numerous times, installed the latest version but same thing. I do not go over 400 sites anymore (when it used to be over 1,000). I am using 100 threads but I tried 10, 25, 50, 75 and same thing. If I use Quick Indexer mode, I get even fewer sites (like 20-30 only).

I emailed Sven and he said that "it's not possible". I sent him pictures and he hasn't replied back. I think I'm going to send him a video of one of my links getting indexed and showing him my settings so he can see how few sites GSA Indexer is using for me.

Here's a picture in case what I wrote above was confusing - http://i.imgur.com/WTNOS.png

See how it's almost done but if you look at the status bar at the bottom, it only uses 300-something sites for both. I usually get over 1,200 for both no- and do-f0llow so I don't understand why GSA is using so few sites all of a sudden.

s4nt0s can you ask Sven if he could add a way to when automatically search for new proxies every ?? minutes. That you could delete all unchecked proxies before adding the newly found ones.

Have you ticked the quick index option on it?

I ticked it on Monday and then I went to bed. The next day, it crashed so I restarted it but I didn't use Quick Indexer again because I've never had GSA Indexer crashed so I thought that probably caused it.

I have it unchecked since yesterday and same thing---only 300-400 sites. I've reinstalled twice now (used Revo + CCleaner) and I still average only around 300-400 sites. I've been watching it for the past 2.5 hours and I've never seen it go over 430-something sites. I don't know what else to do. I lowered the threads, I reinstalled, no change. :( :( :(

I have a question about the Statusnet profiles.

I have been reading a lot lately about indexing strategies, and came across using these statusnet profiles to help get backlinks indexed. Basically, after you create the profile you update the "tweet" part of your profile with all the backlinks that GSA has made for that particular project.

My research is telling me that the big G is loving these links right now and indexing the holy bejesus out of them. So my question for S4nt0s and Sven is: Is it possible after the profile has been created, we can use GSA to log back into the account and update the status with 1 or 2 back links at a time and keep updating it until all the verified backlinks have been "tweeted" across all of our Statusnet profiles?

Yes, I am getting that as well. not sure why. I read the who gsa is it worth it thread but doesnt seem to find an answer there. Hope someone can reply here. Thanks

Anyone else noticing really poor verification results?

Previously I was getting about 20-30% now I'm getting a little less than 10%. Do you find it is this variable depending on the niche?

GSA SEO Indexer v1.31 is out

Quite an annoying bug with GSA here, when adding alot (not even alot to be honest..but more than 30 or so) urls with alot of keywords (few hundred per url) in this format ...xxx.xxx#{kw1|kw2} etc, GSA becomes INCREDIBLY slow, and stops functioning alltogether sometimes, or even refuses to start at all.

This is 'quite annoying', since i only added even a few 100 urls + kws, and i need thousands done.

Happens on: windows server 2008 R2, win 7 x64, win xp, not system specific, same behavior all the time.

A similar thing is happening to me. I set up a 2nd Tier project with about 150 urls and placed my required anchors in the anchor text field, instead of appended to the urls. It starts and runs for a while but then stops suddenly and the status field goes blank and the submitted and verified fields both change to -1. A while after I restart the project it shows the correct amount of submissions and verifications but then stops again for no apparent reason.

The same thing happens if I double click the project when it is running and, without editing anything, click 'ok' again. I have about 20 + other projects running and this Tier 2 one is the only one it happens to. It's also the only project with so many urls.

Furthermore, when the above happens it isn't possible to make the project active by clicking in the status column. Instead I have to right click and set as active there. Again, only for this project.

I'll send this to him.

Have you guys tried sending this to Sven via the feedback button built into the software? That's what its there for :)

Sven emailed me and told me that the indexer now excepts inner page links (around 400 sites). I just tested it myself and it seems like it stops responding a lot. I'll email him and let him know about this.

I'm doing my first link wheel...will see how it goes. So far GSA links are the only ones that I ever see show up in Google backlink checking. I use TextHat to spin it all up :)

Oops...found out how to do it. Remember...search is your friend!

Hi

I've been looking through the thread for tips on this but couldn't find anything so hopefully the post isn't bringing up old stuff.

I have a list of mediawiki sites that I have added to SER via options > advanced > tools > Import URLs and it added a load of the sites into the system (according to showstats there's about 3000 mediawiki sites in the database). However, when I run a project that is just to submit to media wiki's it *seems* to do the good old fashioned searching the search engines for the footprint and submit that way - it doesn't seem to check the database (that I can see). Is there a way of forcing this?

Thanks

Martin

You need to go the "options" where you choose search engines and to right-click and choose the "check none" option. Now it will not use it's built-in search function.

Hope this helps!

This has probably been asked in the thread several times....I apologise but this thread is now bigger than Don Quixote....Im just trying to get low volume high quality blog posts and trackbacks and no matter how much I restrict it to avoid anything under PR2 or anything with over 60 Out bound links I am still accumulating loads of PR0 links..

Ive been told that any previous links I have will be auto approved, but I just want to start fresh with the software and slowly build good links so how do I stop it picking up low quality ?

What proxies are most popular for small useage ....Thanks

You have to make sure that "Also analyse and post to competitors backlinks" is unchecked"

If GSA finds your link on a site it will handle it as verified. If this is a link you built previously with another software than there is nothing you can do about it AFAIK.I recommend for all beginners to watch the videos from S4antos on youtube. Just search for "GSA Sof". Watch these because most of the basic questions will be answered there and you will learn a lot from them.

Thanks

I'm going to go and look at Santos training vids...I watched one a few weeks back but need to freshen the head and learn how to use the software correctly..

I started a small campaign on a friends site last week...fresh virgin site...and I still got PR0 links...now I may not have had the analyse competitors box checked so will try again with that but is there any chance that if gsa has verified links with one of your other projects then it will keep verifying those links on other projects ?
