GSA Search Engine Ranker - Extremely Powerful Linkbuilding Software (Free 5 Day Trial)

A little trick to further enhance your enjoyment of the feature.
With scrapebox, scrape several thousand keywords aimed at your niche
Leave the footprint box blank
Scrape the sites.
Copy the sites to the clipboard.
Then import the sites into gsa from the clipboard and let it sort the list into the engines
No poncing around scraping for all the engines individually
Works very well

It already does this. Go to the advanced tab and click the tools button then go to import URL's and sort in (identify platform).

I see it now. That's just great!

A few questions/remarks though..

1) how many threads the "search online" and the "sort platforms" use? as I choose in the "submission" tab?
2) it doesn't save properly. when choose "save to custom file" and specify the folder, when it finishes the file is not created
3) what the "disable proxies" mean in this feature? is it recommended to use or not to use proxies in this feature?
4) in the "search online for URLs" there is a great option to "add predefined footprints". however there are so many platforms.. can Sven add an option in each engine to "add all"?
5) and one last question (for now).. when I want to build links to T1 urls, would it be possible to add more than just 1 project. Because they way I set it up (and probably I'm not the only one) is that each project have several sub-projects in it. So my T1 will actually be consist of all the URLs from all the sub-project

Thanks again. The support here is by far the best I've ever encountered!

1) I think it would be the same amount as chosen in the submission tab but I haven't confirmed this with Sven yet. I'll ask him tonight.

2) I just tested this twice and it looks like you're right. I'll let him know about the bug.

3) It just means it disables proxies while its running. I'd recommend leaving this off for a higher success rate.

4) I'll ask him but you probably wouldn't want to use all the footprints at the same time. Either way, I'll ask and see what he says.

5) Are you saying you want to have many tier 2's? You can make as many tier 1's, 2's, 3's, etc as you want.

Thanks s4nt0s.

About point #5 - My tier1 consists of links that are built from different projects.

For example:

Project A: high PR articles
Project B: articles and wikis
and so on...

Now I want to build links to all the "verified" links from projects A, B, C and so on... but as it works now I can only choose 1 project's URL and need to start many projects, and in each to choose only one project's URLs.

Hope it's more clear now

Quite an annoying bug with GSA here, when adding alot (not even alot to be honest..but more than 30 or so) urls with alot of keywords (few hundred per url) in this format http://url.com#{kw1|kw2} etc, GSA becomes INCREDIBLY slow, and stops functioning alltogether sometimes, or even refuses to start at all.

This is 'quite annoying', since i only added even a few 100 urls + kws, and i need thousands done.

Happens on: windows server 2008 R2, win 7 x64, win xp, not system specific, same behavior all the time.

Hey S4ntos, can you ask Sven if its possible to prioritize the indexing links for the SEO Indexer? "++"-links move to the top of the list for the indexer and "--" to the bottom.

This is just a waste of developer resources, plus the fact that the indexer is nearly useless, why on earth 'index' already indexed pages?
The majority of the links GSA drops are on already indexed pages.

Also, incase you hadn't noticed, the indexer works 99% with root domains only, no innerpages, only root domains or subdomains.

All these people with no clue coming up with silly 'ideas' to add to GSA are turning GSA into crazy bloatware.

I agree completely related to indexer. Use it for an URL you are monitoring, and very very often the ranking of this URL is dropping. The most pages are indexed already, but there are created new ones too. I save my local ressources and use an external indexing service which works great. Related to "silly ideas" I think you have to be a little bit carefull. Something is silly for one person, but very important for another. That's the reason why I think it would make sense to discuss ideas here and let them filter through S4nt0s drip to Sven.

Thanks. In the end Sven has to decide if its useful or not and if it takes too long to code.

OOhhhhaaa.. slow down friend.. all are friends here.

You people are faster than a rocket, thanks for correcting problems with "About Yourself" content.

Anyone else noticing really poor verification results?

Previously I was getting about 20-30% now I'm getting a little less than 10%. Do you find it is this variable depending on the niche?

And also prioritize the high PR verified links first

I'm not sure why it is doing this to you. I have projects with thousands, and it doesn't cause this problem for me. This is on windows 7 x64, windows 7 x32, and windows xp sp3.

Ah I see what you mean. I'll ask Sven to see if we can get the option to choose multiple projects for tiering.

Regarding your other question with how the threading works for the search online and sort platforms Sven said, "It uses the same setting as projects use. So if you have projects running they share there threads with the "site list tools" If not, all threads are used for site lists only."

I haven't had this issue or been able to replicate this myself but I'll make sure and send Sven your message so he can look into it.

I can ask him about this, but I personally don't see this as being that beneficial. I'll let him know though.

Does anyone have any additional engine .ini files they have coded? I am in process of coding one for Wordpress article directory (Dimox Theme) but am still testing whether it will actually do what it needs to do. If I can get it working right I will post it here for everyone to try.

Hey guys,

first

+1000 lol ... this would actually be huge

second, I know some of you (including me) have been having trouble with getting PR 0 links even though in the setting you put above PR 1+

I e-mailed Sven about this:

my exact msg,
I get a lot of PR 0 sites even though in the options I put in PR OF PAGE (i made sure that its not of domain)

I have attached the backup, please advise

and his answer was:

I think the problem is that the software finds a page, checks for PR, sees it has a PR that matches your filter but when creating a link, it is of course on a different page with a lower PR. I don't think this is fixable at all if you use that "PR of page" as the program doesn't know how the resulting PR of the new subpage will be.

So, now I am a bit confused.... because I thought this happened when you chose "PR of domain" ?

I have e-mailed him back asking to clarify, but if anyone else has some insight on this, I would love to hear it

Take for example bookmarking sites. The engine detects it can create a backlink on the site. It checks the PR of the page(in this case another bookmark, an internal page, or whatever it picked up from the search engine) and sees it is PR3. Then it gets a go-ahead and creates a backlink, but you get a separate page for your backlink which isn't PR1+ and is PR0.
That's probably it, and that's what Sven is saying.
The only cases it could work would be where the links being created are actually on high PR pages, such as blog comments.

3.80
- new: you can now choose more than one project for a TIER
- fix: project URL import with unicode format
- fix: export of URLs from project with proper unicode formating
- fix: site lists: save results to custom file was not working for import

Oh, that makes sense, thanks for clarifying.

So then how would we be able to make sure all of our links are PR 1+ without importing our own lists?
