Hey guys, as the title says. I am interested in selling micro sd cards on ebay and was wondering is it a good market still? Will I be able to make decent profits? Also would my account be shut down if these cards are replicas, but I list the cards as just generic micro sd cards? Any response would be helpful. Thanks guys.

IMHO, that is a niche with brutal competition. Probably the only edge is if you find replicas at a good price.

if you sell no branded items most likely ebay won't ban you if you list generic items , but you have to find them at a competitive ;ow price as its really hard to break in this niche as many sellers sell fakes from china really cheap

Not sure, they sell it all over Ebay for very low prices (China) ..

It's unlikely that you'd be banned, but there has got to be a niche you can find that has lower competition. General consumers can find these everywhere, even grocery stores. More seasoned buyers just snag them on special from Amazon or eBay. If you've got a source that will allow you to sell as low as other eBay sellers can, go for it!

I am a new member. Any help on some niche market type products to sell?

Its a big massive niche but all depends if you can get the stock at rock bottom prices to give you a decent profit margin. Bare in mind you will be going up against people who have bought thousands and have a room to drop the prices. I would say trial it out and see how it goes.

you have to start somewhere.

just make sure you get a decent profit margin and make your listing stand out and differentiate somehow.
make it attractive and different.

very tough. after ebay fees, paypal fees, and shipping, you will probably end up in the negative.

Generic branded 32GB MicroSD cards are what I have been exclusively selling for the past year, and I can definitely say they can make you huge profits if you purchase them cheap wholesale from China and list them as auctions on eBay.

HOWEVER, the prices for these are going down way too fast and therefore they are barely worth it anymore. I used to buy a card for around $6-$7 each and resell them for over $50. I made an easy $600-$1k a month. And that's just selling 20-40 a month. Nowadays you're lucky if you can sell one for $20. You usually get bids that end around $12-$16 a piece.

Also, it's generally safe if you don't list too much at a time and you build up your eBay account beforehand. The only time I got hit was when I listed too many cards in one day and got warned.

Is it still worth it? Perhaps, but there are definitely better items out there with better profit margins and much less competitors.

I have some Sandisk Extreme Pro cards and they're selling really good.I also do dropshipping if you're interested

I can guarantee the actual capacity is a lot lower. This fake Chinese sticks after often 2GB or 4GB advertised on the packaging to say a larger capacity. Some Chinese sellers can change the firmware to trick the computer into thinking its of a higher capacity. The only way to know if the capacity is real is to fill it up with data.
