From a webmaster forum I have got suggestion to link building through yahoo answer for getting yahoo ranking. Today morning when I visit yahoo answers then I saw that the google pagerank of yahoo answers is 7/10. So I have made an answer there but I don't know how can I build links using yahoo answers and is yahoo answer do-follow?

You would just answer questions and put your link in either the answer or the source box. You need to be a level 2 account user to post links. You can buy accounts or get to Level 2 on your own.

But, like I already mentioned, this isn't the most strategic "linkbuilding" process. It is better used to drive traffic directly to your site.

Yahoo! Answers is a great source if you want to diversify your traffic. By posting your links in the correct way on Yahoo! Answers you can get a long term steady source of traffic.

Just because it is no-follow, doesn't mean that you wont get any SEO benefit. Of course, since its no-follow you wont get any pagerank flow, but the links are the same quality as Wikipedia, Twitter, and Facebook links. So basically, it is a excellent social signal towards your site, and you may get SERP increases.

Rickstar updates it frequently and it works great. It is no-follow, but google loves the links. I think it is a "must have" link for any authority site.

You get a lot of targeted traffic of you SEO your post.

Funnily enough, you can get some instant conversions from YA, if you answer the right questions with useful replies.

Just don't make your replies too spammy and you'll be surprised how many conversions you'll get.

But yeah, SEO wise it's pretty useless being nofollow.

Remember a lot of people use Yahoo answers to fill up forums and other sites, this means your link could be dropped in to several sites giving you a backlink.

YA has never done much for anyone i know - most complaints i've heard about it - people say only kids and time wasters use it to goof off.

Quick conversions. Good leads. Yahoo Answers is a bomb! Plus, indirect SEO benefits (from autoblogs / forums picking up the links). Don't spam it, and you'll be fine!

The best way is really to create two yahoo accounts. One asking the question and the other answering it with a link to the site your promoting.
then closing the answer.
