What is a good way to make great videos for YouTube? On windows and Mac?

If you mean software, try sony vegas. If you just need the basics, then just use windows movie maker which should already be on your windows.

On mac final cut pro is the best, and macs work pretty well them selves.

For Editing Videos i recommend Sony Vegas.
For recording i use Fraps.

If you don't know what you're doing, or you can't afford Final Cut Pro, Imovie on mac makes good movies too. Pretty easy to use but not nearly as many options as final cut pro.

If you want to some mass videos then I suggest Camtasia for both Mac and Windows.


*Note: If you decide to try AAE or FCPX then I can suggest you some plugins that I personally use when creating videos, it's what the industry uses too, for professional movies. Complex but that's the price you pay for great videos.

There is a software named as Camtasia Studio, google it you will find it, i will recommend that for making youtube videos, it's really good!
