Pinging YouTube video bad?????

I have a question as something strange happened yesterday.

I did something stupid with a YouTube video and pinged the crap out of it and my account got banned by YouTube!

That common? The account was 1 week old.

I used to ping YT videos immediately after uploading but they never got banned.

Not as far as I am aware, it was a simple video I made and the only thing I did was to ping it with MS.

The account was only 1 week old exactly, it had only one video on it so no big deal there, but I did ping it with Magic submitter and 20 minutes later the account was deactivated...any thoughts? (other than don't do that again!)

I have pinged videos before, but this is first time I had an account banned!

Never used MS before but I do use Content Notifier to get my videos pinged and have never had any problems.

A ping is like someone ringing your doorbell, someone has shown up to visit. Ie someone visited the web page or in this case a YouTube video.

I have heard that it does benefit you, it benefits post and pages on web sites and I was testing this out and my test resulted in an account being banned, the funny thing is I have pinned other YouTube videos that I created and nothing happened, video climbed in the page results so I was assuming that was from the pinging.

Have you personally tested pinging YouTube videos?

wtf is you ping a video? like cmd ping? or some other type of ping? what u mean?

pinging won't help? it doesn't count towards views so what's the point? and I highly doubt that pinging made you banned. change your IP and upload a fresh video to fresh account and make sure the video doesn't break TOS then ping it like crazy and see if it happens again, which i highly doubt.

Chances are you bought that account or you created it from the same IP you've already created other account(s) a little time ago.

Nope, created a fresh account by hand and we use HMA proxies on a 20 minute new proxy recycle...I checked and I first thought the account was only 1 week old, it was 2 weeks with 1 vid...the only thing we did was to ping the video. (HMA) engaged and used MS to ping.

Duplicate info, no. The video is the same but with a different voice over. We embed the video in our editing software and add a different transition and text and do a different voice over for the vid...we have used the exact same video using the same process for about 30 different videos.(but using the same vid with different transitions/voiceovers)

Never had an account banned up until this point, have approximately 30 different accounts.

That is what I was hoping to learn from the other professionals here skilled in video marketing.

I ping some of my video's which are duplicate videos and content and have never had a problem. I also personally haven't seen any effect by pinging.
