Some guy that owns a small SEO company asked me to train him in basic wordpress use and onpage(organic/local) optimization. I told him this kind of information is free and he should just use Google or go onto some forums to learn but he said he doesn't have the patience for that. I'm pretty busy myself and don't want to deal with it unless it's worth it to me so let me ask you guys, what would you charge?

p.s. I make about 15k/mo. net

Offer him a very expensive monthly training course, if he takes it you're going to improve your earnings, if not you're still earning your monthly dough.

You're answering your own question. What would be the right price for you? $250/hour? $500/hour? More? Keep in mind, even if you spend 2 hours with him he will have follow-up questions by email/phone...etc

There is no right or wrong answer. Just tell him what it would take for it to be worth your time.

If you are earning 15k per month, divide it by total working hours and you got yourself a price per hour. :)

Just start of high. Maybe $200-300/hour? Im not sure. Its down to you at the end of the day.

Yeah I just told him $300/hr I also said I'd send him all my excel sheets/macros I've created. Done and confirmed. Thanks guys!

I saw your response on a local search question. You mentioned that someone should have a local city address to rank well. What do you use for someone that doesn't have a local city address?
