Instagram follow limit

Instagram recently changed their follow limit to 7,500. If you already followed more then that then your fine but any new accounts can't follow more then 7,500.

Sucks but when there is a will there is a way.

This is terrible news. I hope they'll consider doing it like Twitter where you can follow all your followers.

I have ca. 31k followers and can not follow more than 7500 users currently. I have to add that this new limit was implemented by IG before I hit the 7500 following mark. I'm pretty sure that accounts which are already following more than 7500 users are not affected and can follow without limit. New accounts are facing this limit though...

If someone has a different experience, please share it.

It seems as though it does not have anything to do with a ratio. It is a set number. So if you are following over 7,500 right now are you able to follow more?

Doesnt really help with engagement, u have 1 million fake followers then u post a picture and u get 2 likes something doesnt add up. Also depending on your profile, getting on the popular page doesnt bring in that many new followers as previously thought.

The instagram game just got 10x harder.

This kind of limitation is like nazism, to me. Why users cannot have as many followers as they want?

You could make all your accounts follow each other. Not sure how you would automate this process. Someone should include a feature like that in an Instagram bot.
