The network I currently work at offer a 60/40 split in all earnings, where you are obtaining 60%. This is far better than other networks like Machinima. Machinima offer you a flat rate of $2.00 per 1,000 views. My network offer you 60% of what you get, meaning you could be earning well above $2.

Maker and Fullscreen are the best since one is created by top youtubers and thus gets good ad deals the other is created by the guy who created the partner program and also gets good ad deals. That being said, there's a lot of networks that are based off Fullscreen so do some research before signing up to any third party network that's less popular.

I recommend you email your network and demand 70/30 with atleast 3$ cpm. also machinima isnt 2$ for 1k it's higher than 3.5$ from my friends who are chained by machinima. TGS is also at 70/30 for most of their partners, but theyre requiring around 100k/month. Maker Studios, will only be for top YouTubers now a days, hard to get partnered by them if not around 250K/month. They offer 90/10 contract.

TGN currently offer 80/20 on a one year contract (only need 1000 daily views) They are not just a gaming network now either, they partner all kinds of channels. I currently make around $4.5 cpm with them. One channel made $10 cpm last month (I cant post links yet /watch?v=3kYd2l8IHnU), I would recommend giving them a look at tgn.tv

My friend gets about 500,000 views every month and earns 400 dollars a month from Adsense with just regular Youtube Partner no Networks.

Oh hack yes. Definitely make more with the Network company. And it also depends how "fast" he gets the views. You said 500k per month, which is really good. He can FOR SURE earn more than $400 per month with Network.

Tell you my personal experience, I'm actually partnered with Fullscreen. The thing I love is the "Sponsorship Campaign", they often offer $20-35 CPM if you contain some content for the promotion, the budget can go from $2k-$10k, and normally the campaign run for a week to two.

So let's say the Campaign is $25 CPM. Your friend makes a video contain some content for the promotion within the first 30 seconds of the video, and he generates 100,000 views within a week. Your information is false.

Maker used to be for top youtubers but in the past few months they realized that quantity > quality and hence forth have been signing anyone they can get a contract with. I've seen people partner with them that had way less than 250k / month, more along the lines of 50k / month. That being said they offer 70/30. if you manage to get a 90/10 split with them then you're one big youtuber.

as a person who was once in their network and voluntarily left I can assure you that maker is taking a direction of a company that has a gun aimed towards their head by the people who fed them the capital to start-up.

I might be wrong with this but I'm pretty sure they allow that promotion for anyone, even if you're not signed to them.

What does Maker Studios do? I read they take a cut of the money you get with Adsense anyway so you would make twice as much without them, with just Adsense only. Is that true? Even if you only make 1 dollar for every thousand views? Then Maker would take half and you would only get fifty cents instead of the full dollar you would earn without them?
