Escrow Transaction?

So I've sold a site on flippa and I'm using escrow to handle the transaction. The buyer has paid and I'm supposed to deliver the site.

Forgive my ignorance but where I am I supposed to transfer the site+domain to. Thanks

you will need to to get the buyers details from flippa.I am pretty sure their details should be there.

You would need the buyers domain EPP code and domain register, their hosting log in information (if you plan on doing the transfer for them) and email from flippa.

I would assume you are already in contact with the buyer if he/she has bought and paid for the site?

Just get their details for a domain push (each registrar is different) and then zip the files up and send it to them/transfer yourself if that's what you already agreed. I prefer to install for them so they don't mess it up.

Can't the buyer then run off with the domain and files by inspecting the transaction on escrow and declining it?

No, because if you prove to Escrow you have transfered ownership of the site & domain then the only way they can get their money back is by "returning" both to you. If they decide to decline receipt and run off, then you'll get the money back from Escrow anyway.

It depends who you're dealing with, I've had a few buyers that declined the website after an inspection period before, but I got all the files and domain name back.

Make sure you take a screenshot of domain ownership after they accept the domain name from you - this would be the only proof you transferred the domain name to them, if they choose to scam you and change their contact info after they have the domain name. This is something that is not likely to happen and I don't want to scare you, but it might happen.

Anyway, most transactions will go through with no problem - after the inspection period, the buyer should confirm they received everything and Escrow will then release the funds.
