I know from personally experience how difficult it can be to do business online if you can't accept payments with Paypal, especially in the services business. While I believe that through communication and good clients it is possible to do business without PayPal some people don't want to go through so many hoops and just want to accept payments easily, which is fair enough.
While this has been mentioned numerous times here, whenever someone mentions a payment processor the first choice is PayPal, some people might mention 2CO, rarer is Plimus and some prefer MoneyBookers.
While most of those are excellent processors it is always good to have options, different businesses have different needs. Truth be told, I haven't tested these so I don't have any personal experience with them but some of them were highly recommended by some friends who use them as their main payment processors.
Recurly
Cheddargetter
Spreedly.com
Chargify.com
So there they are, not all of them support PayPal but some do, and most of them are not just or exactly payment processors but more of a complete billing solution.
Hope this helps some of you guys who are having trouble with PayPal
