Google stopped listing/indexing my site, why?

My site is TheOpSec daut caum- however I notice if I search for that in Google, I am not seeing any results. Last week I was on the front page if you typed in "Op Sec".

What's strange is the dormant Twitter account is showing but nothing else. I wonder why?

You don't have your xml sitemap set up, you don't have your robots.txt set up, so Google is not really sure how to index you. You don't have many backlinks and for that matter, keywords associated with your website. It looks like you are using wordpress, I would recommend you install the ALL-IN-ONE SEO plugin so you can start delineating what your keywords are. It also looks like you just started your site so it does take a while to get indexed by google mainly because you are new and you need to build "trust" with google. I recommend reading in the white hat forum the seo basics so that you have a better idea of what to do moving forward.

However, be aware, that regardless of what you continue to do, you are going to be dancing in the rankings because you are a new site. Hope that helps.

When I did a site:your domain search, it came up with your site and all of its pages, so you are indexed. The fact that you aren't on page 1 anymore is probably because your site is new. New websites tend to rank high for a short period of time because its fresh content, then fall and dance around for a while.

Build good links, make sure your content is unique, be consistent and have patience. The site should start climbing again. It could be a few weeks+ though.

Well, I'd say you answered your own question. Why should Google care about your site when you are ripping content from other sites? Your domain reputation is now pretty much shit. If you can't at least create your own content, I'd say you should pack it up.

Honestly, this is news to me. I literally just started this blog about 2 weeks ago. I've noticed alot of 'news sources' have much the same information. I figured that was the unspoken rule was to republish.

So this means, for the most part - that of the thousands of news outlets out there, they all have their own unique spin on each news story?

I see alot of news sources releasing 'Associated Press' news, and it's the same across the board.

I will seriously re-evaluate my blog and how to present it. Obviously I have alot to learn. Hopefully I havent screwed myself too much. Im just a web developer trying to make some coin

A lot of sites will syndicate the content and link back to the source. Either way, chances are most of the sites that have published syndicated news are much more powerful then your site. Therefore, the chances of ranking a copied story, word for word, is quite low. As others have suggested you could spin the article by changing the words to a degree where the search engines see it as being unique. Especially at this point, with all the algorithm updates, unique content is a must. There are plugins for Wordpress that claim to spin for you. I've never tried it, but people are still doing the auto blogging thing. Check out some of the other threads and you will find one talking about Penguin revenge. He or she is doing a case study by trying to rank auto blogs using spun content. It may offer some insight into what you are trying to do and the best path forward. Best of success.
